Hey everyone,
I realize this is kind of a narrow question to make a thread about but the recent one in the Trading section was locked, and I didn't want to randomly resurrect an old one.
So....yeah, I'd love to find this game (without spine) for a decent price. How much should I expect to pay? On here, I mean, not in the mean outskirts of eBay.
Really wanted to ask that before I make a WTB thread one day only to notice that I couldn't afford it. :)
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I seem to remember paying somewhere between $150 and $200 for mine but its been a few years...
-
The copy I just purchased (though with spine card) cost me around $365, yeah...

You seemed to find it really fast too. Practically within the day you started the thread

It's sold for $200 - $250 on eBay in current history.
I don't recommend paying $100 - $150 for a spine. You're better off getting the repro box set for the same price (as just the spine).
-
Okay, thanks for the replies so far! Was hoping for the 150$-range, but oh well. :)
There's a repro box set? How? Where? Only ever heard of the "Sapphire" one.

lol, in the meanwhile sylphia has already surpassed the sapphire price here in japan. so do not expect something below the 350.- to 400.- in near future.

Really tats??? Thats crazy...

Bought it outside of ebay from a seller out there - it cost me ten percent less than the inflated price he had it listed at.
Damn spine cards... I can't help myself and overpay to get copies which include one. Unfortunately I sometimes get dealt a bad hand and receive a somewhat damaged obi that disgusts me, like the one I received with Spriggan. Outside of buying a second copy of the same game and hoping to get a near mint obi that time around, I wouldn't know where to look to upgrade my current unsatisfying Spriggan spine card. That hobby can sure get frustrating for OCD types like myself, lol. Hopefully that Sylphia spine is as good as it looks or else I might unload my budding PCE collection out of sheer frustration.

Can anyone tell me more about this repro set? I've no idea if such a thing is frowned upon around here.....um, well, probably....but it could tide me over until I can afford the real thing.
Any pointers?

Ok, so in the end, after the Euro to dollar conversion, Sylphia (with spine) cost me precisely US$351 (US$368 when factoring in shipping fees).
-
Well that's dandy.
I've got a crisp $200 if anybody has a spare (and is in good seller standing, obvs).

could the fact that sapphire is losing part of it's high value due to compilation version on psp? similar thing happened to Radiant Silvergun ( and to less extent Ikaruga) when the xbox 360 HD version came out, (used to USD500/GBP300/JPY45000, HKD3000) the prices of the Saturn original dropped significantly esp as it's high res and definition version, ikaruga had a double whammy, both the x360 and android made this game very affordable for the gamecube and dreamcast probably now at US$30/GBP20/JPY2500/HK$250

I just played through this game and found it really fun, next hard mode!

Whoa...."Ikaruga" can be had for 30$ for the DC version? Then I really overpaid recently. :(
I'd been looking for a while and then a fellow from Japan snagged one up for me for 60$. I was quite satiesfied with that purchase but if it usually goes for half that....damn!
Well....excellent game no matter what. :)

Its worth the $60 ;)
