very nice stuff but if you're going to sell here, I would recommend introducing yourself so you can get recognized by the community first and drop your prices if you are going to sell here since you have your prices the same as your ebay page.

I have bought from him before and no issues to speak of. He was even willing to refund me on the bay and sell to me for a lower price on here. Yes, he might save some fees but not for what he was offering it to me for. Did not know that he would be coming here to sell. I know that most hate when resellers surface on here without a intro or want to buy something without one either. He may not have done that right away, but at least he made his intentions clear from the get go.

Well i feel like he just here for money and cares less about the community. Not a good start to say hey now buy my shit. I'd rather buy from other members to support this community imho.

Everyone has their thoughts on how they feel about what new people or resellers do when they come here. It is up to them to decide if they want to deal with these people or not....

It's true: I'm here primarily to sell TG-16 items. Also true: I try to price my items below everyone else. This is a TG/PCE community, it seemed natural that fans of this stuff would maybe, potentially, possibly, be interested in spending less money to acquire it. To me, this seems beneficial to all parties. If you or others disagree, that's cool and no hard feelings. I understand and respect the desire to keep things within the community.
Responding to all PMs though, thanks for the interest everyone!

This is just my opinion, it in no way reflects what others in the community feel. I have no idea what others think unless they post about it. I believe in supporting the pcengine scene for the love of it, not to make money off others for a living. It's a good start at least to see you selling cheaper than your ebay listings as ebay gouging is an ongoing topic here and i'm sure no one here likes overpaying on ebay. So by all means keep going, i was just stating how i feel about it.

No one should have a problem with someone making a fair living. We go to work and get paid a fair wage for our skill set, so why is it any different if someone makes a living selling video games? Fair prices are just that fair. Now if he came here with sky high prices and tried to act like he was doing a favor then it would be different. It is important to have all the facts of something before condemning it....

Ebay gouging isn't fair pricing, if his prices were fair then he wouldn't have to lower them just to sell them on this forum. Get your ish straight before you try to straighten someone elses.

Alright let's make it simple. Most people that sell on here are not too far off from e-bay prices to begin with. If you track the items sold here you will see that. There might be a 10%-20% difference in the prices. If you had been here long enough you would know that. You have your opinion and I have mine. He is new like you and it might be cool to cut a little slack before you jump on someone. I merely pointed this fact out. Just because he sells does not mean that he is screwing people. If his prices were bad then it would be unlikely that anyone would buy from him. He sells on other forums and e-bay. It is no different then some of the members on here There are other resellers on this forum and they are accepted.

That is cool Jello, I never singled you out though. Everyone is entitled to sell for what they want. If someone is gullible enough to pay those high prices, then it is on them. It is a well know fact that e-bay price are higher to first cover the 10%, second people are trying to make money and third to reach a bigger buying crowd. Maybe those 3 in a different order but you get the point..

It's OK. I know that there is no way to please everyone. There are individuals that would not be pleased about the prices of any Turbo game unless they were the same as what Babbages was charging in the clearance bin in 1994. And then they would want free shipping.

That is very true Jello. It seems that fact is lost to some.... Like anything else in the world the less there is of it or the harder it is to get the price goes up.

Had nobody said anything, his prices would still be as high as his ebay prices.
Like it or not, this is a community open to discussion and not a one way street where only positive responses can be made; cjameslv opining that the prices are too high is no more off topic or inappropriate than you arguing the opposite.

Not true! It's like this:
My prices on Ebay on the games offered here are lower than anybody else (or were when I listed them). The prices I initially offered here were ALL lower than my Ebay prices, though some by only 3-5%. They were lowered slightly thereafter to be about 10% lower than Ebay to fully account for Ebay fees. Hit the Ice was listed at almost 15% below Ebay to begin with; the other titles were reduced only a couple bucks (e.g. Ninja Spirit went from 58.95 to 56.95). I didn't feel compelled to raise this to account for a proper 10% though nobody has raised an eyebrow at that decision. :D
Re: discussion - I'm new here and don't want to step on any toes (though I guess I can't help it). I have no issue with the discussion here though, frankly, I think it's counter-productive for the critics because my thread is getting bumped all day long. :o

All sealed, as nullity stated, and I offer them for less here than you're likely to find elsewhere (and I've actually sold multiple copies of every game listed here at higher prices elsewhere). Sure, you might wait it out long enough to get something cheaper from some dude taking photos with his flip phone and listing them as $0.99 auctions on Ebay, but in general I think my asking prices are defensible. Not everyone is down with minty sealed games - and that's fine - but they do command a premium.
And no offense taken. Sealed games are expensive and impractical but some people go for it. I like CIB, some dudes just have an everdrive. Let us celebrate our differences, not fight over them! :D

Seriously, I sell these for $90 on Ebay and Amazon. I've sold them for months. My stock is well under half what it was when I first acquired these. While some folks here complain about $80, people everywhere else actually pay $90.
So much haaaasslin' around here, jeeeeeeez.
Edit: ahhahaha, just realized I have these at 90 here. MY BAD! Back to 80!

That and the fact that he's only here to make money. He doesn't participate or contribute anything to the forum and asks outrageous prices for games that regular members literally give away.

Well, he did contribute to the Shenmue 3 thread to let us know that he had been hoarding a stack of sealed copies of the original.
He then flipped 11 of them in a row on eBay for up to $240 each.

Damn, is that what they sell for now?? I bought a few at a Toys R Us clearance back in 2002 or 2003 for like $1.97 each. Sadly, I ended up giving a few away just to get rid of them... :(

I feel so bad for the people that now have to pay through the nose to play Shenmue 1 and 2 which are, naturally, pretty common games.
And yeah, Doc Orange, your prices do kinda stink. I thank the stars that I was able to get my games before resellers came in to take advantage of our hobby. You very well could be a stand up guy with solid integrity who's just going with the flow of the market, but your peers have tainted the open market and created a mess of shill bidding and artificial inflation. So all the dirt being slung here is a product of that environment and unless you intend to hose the people of this forum I wouldn't take it personally.
Title: Re: New Sealed Game: VIGILANTE! $43 Shipped!

It seems like much of the backlash comes from two points:
1) I'm not a contributing member of the forum.
2) My prices are too high for this forum ("asks outrageous prices for games that regular members literally give away.").
To be honest - and I've been honest since the beginning - I feel my contribution on any forum is what I have to offer for sale. If nobody feels like my prices are good, I won't sell anything and I'll move on (I've made sales here regularly since the day I joined). I don't participate in any forum beyond this capacity. Ultimately, this is another sales venue for me because, yes, I do run a business. As I've said repeatedly here, literally everything I offer here sells for more on other venues. I understand that a $205 new Somer Assault does not sit will with some of you but please understand that I've sold several at $225 on other venues (and those venues get their cut). That goes for every item available here.
That some members have given away sealed games is very generous but as a business, it's obviously not a winning strategy.
Shenmue - I've sold more than 11 copies of Shenmue in the last few months because...that's what I do for a living. The $240 unit was an LE unit, by the way.
I'd rather open up more avenues to move merchandise by offering it at fee-less prices than sell strictly on Ebay but I'll move on from PCEFX (never an issue anywhere else). I don't have the time or energy to defend what I shouldn't have to defend. For many of you, this is a coup of sorts. No grudges held, met a handful of solid dudes and made a few deals. C'est la vie !

As you should be well aware of, after reading so many threads with people asking for their's to be "locked" or "deleted", or when the OP ends the thread with an overly dramatic post lashing out at everyone, you can lock it yourself.
