Title: Question about retrobrite treatment on PCE consoles
Post by: SuperGrafx on October 12, 2014, 09:04:28 AM
How long lasting is the brightening treatment?
Does the case console start to revert back to its yellowed state after a few years?
Anything you can do to prevent or delay it from happening again?

After a RetroBrite treatment, simply cover plastic in a modest amount of petroleum jelly to prevent plastic from yellowing again.

Correct, if you don't mind the extra cost, you can use AstroGlide in lieu of petroleum jelly. It's easier to apply, certainly, but much more expensive.
