I'm looking into modding my S10 Pac with an internal circuit that will switch regions and Bios without any external modifications.
So....I was wondering if this is a mod the community would be interested in?

im somewhat interested
i only have 1 JP pac, between 2 systems

I've seen it done using two bios chips and a switch on the enable pin. Are you going to do like a multibios chip? Sounds cool though. I dont need it since I have both pacs but I'm sure some people might want it just for the sega cd / mega cd compatibility. It doesnt really matter for LD games.

1 chip, bank switched

Seems like a cool idea to me. There are two layers for the region check though right? The bios chip itself and a jumper on the board?
-
Correct
-
that's a sweet thing, if you ask me.
i'd like to play some JP Cd games.

I wonder if there is room to mount a switch inside the cart slot door housing. So youd just slip your finger in, flip the switch and go.
-
there is room, but switchless is doable too

i like the reset button switch, very cool

just slip your finger in, flip the switch and go.
That's the way you like it, isn't it?
