Title: Replaced screws in a DUO
Post by: grendelrt on June 30, 2006, 09:01:23 AM
Has anyone replaced the screws in a turbo duo. When I pulled out my security screws one of them was almost stripped, so I would like to put something in more convential. Maybe hex headed screws or something, anyone done this and know the size?

I replaced mine with some screws I took from an old Mega Drive II. Works great.

Yeah, i have a little bin container full of various plastic screws. I just used four decent philips head screws. I did the same with my Core Grafx, and a bunch of SNES carts.

Cool so they arent a special size then. I will have to take one up to lowes or something and get some matching screws.

Well your best bet it taking them from other electronics such as old vcrs, etc. Plastic screws are not very finicky, so you can go a tiny bit smaller or bigger if you need to. But try to find some the same size.
