Ah yeah, this was the site I was trying to think of when somebody here asked about live streaming, but I couldn't remember it.

Is this a big thing? People sit around watching people play video games on the internet?
I've never tried it before, so maybe I just don't get it... guess I should stop using free time to play the games and break out the popcorn?
One of the most subscribed guys on YouTube is a guy who does "let's play" videos.

It's a massive thing, yes. I mean, f*ck, there's a button on the PS4 controller dedicated solely to it.

what is a ps4?
It's like a PS3, and then 1 more.

It's like a Ps2, and then 1 more.

Did you end up streaming? I didn't see anything listed under your Past Broadcasts. Do you have the option to save them so others can watch them or is that a paid feature?
-
Yeah I let Ys book I and II run for a while, and played DE II for a bit. I don't know how to save past streams on Twitch. I'm thinking of doing a play thru video of a game, maybe saving that to youtube.

I got an email recently that twitch bought out Justin.tv. I've used Justin.tv in the past and they automatically saved every broadcast so visitors could watch them later, but maybe that's a reason they needed to be bought out. :)

Interesting! Well a side question - is there interest in anyone viewing Turbo Duo gaming streams? Most of the games streamed are current gen now (or last gen) but wondering if anyone here would watch some old school?

Yeah, if I knew one of you yahoos was gaming on Twitch, I'd love to see it, even if it wasn't live. Of course it may be awhile before I get around to watching them, but it would happen at some point. :)

I've love to try this out, but I got so much stuff going on....akk!

I get watching part of a walkthrough if I get stuck at some point, other than that, not so much.

I did a quick test setup and have Lords of Thunder looping in realtime on my stream now.....I think it looks pretty good: http://www.twitch.tv/pcenginefx
Not sure what I'd use it for though. If anything I'd setup some kind of pre-recorded programming (like a TV network) and stream it but again, be a ton of work and not sure if the value is there vs. just providing it on YouTube.
