Title: Introduction
Post by: TurboGrafx on February 11, 2015, 01:33:02 PM
Hello, everyone! My name is Jeff, and I am happy to be a member of the forums. I may be new to the forums, but I have been into video games my whole life. I grew up in the 16 bit era, and my older brothers got the sega genesis and super nintendo (one each) when they were released. I wanted to get a system for myself (or at least from my parents lol), so the Turbo-Grafx 16 made the most sense. Video games growing up were a big part of my childhood and they bring me that nostalgic feeling when I play them now (I am turning 30). I had some of the popular games for the TurboGrafx games, but I never played a lot of the great titles. Many of the these games are unknown and underrated to people.  Recently, I decided that I wanted to own every TurboGrafx game, so that i can get the joy of trying new games for the first time and reliving some of the classics.  Although a lot of the games have gone up in price, what price can you put on feeling like a kid again?

Funny you should ask, our latest resident flipper "tbone" would say $550 for an average RPG of that era.

Welcome!
Have fun "collecting" but make sure you play the games too. Much better than just staring at them on a shelf.  :P

Looks like his hands function like the claws of a sloth.

Hi!

This is really tripping me out, because TurboGrafx's userid at GameTZ is Toymachine, that's why I had assumed he always had an account here when I talked to him.  Turns out he had no idea what the hell I was talking about, haha, and for good reason, you're just a doppelganger!

I can see how this caused some confusion lol.
