1. Alien
2. Alien
3. Alien

-
we dont have horror movies in cuba so I wouldnt know. having fidel in charge is horror enough lol
the last horror type movie I saw that I enjoyed was chernobyl diaries but not much of a horror fan
-
The Descent is one of my favs.
From the music and the dark claustrophobic environment , it's just a really well done horror move/ adventure.

I have part 2 on regular dvd, but I agree it would nice to have on blue ray. I met Williams Ragsdale and Chris Sarandon at a Monster Mania Convetion a few years ago. Really nice guys!

Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness

Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness
All great movies! Did you see the remake of it? I haven't yet, but heard it was good.
-
Too many to list.
Not mentioned yet:
Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)
Terror at Red Wolf Inn (1972)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Deep Red (I won't list all the Italian-horror films I want to add)
Return of the Living Dead
The Exorcist
The Shining
-
way too many favs to even start listing them..haha.
-
Lair of the White Worm
-
Yeah este, I really like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It was one of the first horror movies to leave me with an uneasy feeling at the end. It wasn't cheesy-ish or outdated. It still holds up pretty well today, in my opinion. To me it just felt really raw and almost documentary-ish in a way. I love the ending when the sun is coming up and he's just swinging his chainsaw around.
Alien is another one of my favorites. I bought the box set awhile ago hoping to watch the others but i still haven't. I just rewatch Alien when I'm in the mood, i never go beyond that. One of these days, I'll get around to it.
One that i saw lately that i thought was pretty good was The Babadook (spelling?). Not necessarily a favorite of mine, but I liked it more than some other horror movies i have seen lately. So it's worth a mention.

Lair of the White Worm
Great film, cast and story!
I Drink Your Blood is a very good movie involving rabies.
-
Evil Dead
Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness
Nailed it!
-
The Exorcist
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Bram Stokers Dracula
-
Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981)
Oh man, there's one I have not seen for awhile. Great flick.
-
It's pretty hard to name just three...but:
The Shining
Exorcist (1 & 3, especially)
Hellraiser
-
I try and go with a top ten (which is hard to do )
1. Suspiria - Just love the older movies of Dario Argento and this is one of his best.
2. Zeder - Really underrated movie.
3. Eraserhead - I always thought that movie is about the fear of marriage / family + the atmosphere of that movie is so unique and scary = brilliant movie.
4. Maniac (1980) - One of my favourite slasher movies ever.
5. Bad Taste - The first time I seen this movie it left me speechless  - I was used to big budget movies and "Bad Taste" is so different. The "I don't give a f*ck attitude", the humor, the gore effects and the complete story of the movie could never happen if a studio was behind it. Classic movie - check it out.
6. Dead Alive / Braindead - Even better than Bad Taste.
7. Nosferatu - I really love the atmosphere of this movie. Honorable mention - Shadow of the Vampire is also brilliant.
8. Videodrome - Cronenbergs best film
9. Tetsuo / Tetsuo 2 - The first part could be seen as a Japanese version of Eraserhead and the second film is just insane.
10. The Beyond - Again I love the atmosphere of this movie - by far Lucio Fulcis best film.
-
There are sooooooo many great horror films, it's really hard to pick just a few.
A really great film that I don't hear talked about much is Cronos by Guillermo del Toro... that's one that I go back to again and again.
Other slightly obscure-ish stuff that's worth seeking out:
The Blind Dead series
Caltiki (1959)
House (1977) - really weird Japanese movie... crazy stuff
Matango (1963)
The Mad Butcher (1971)
Martin (1977)
Maniac (2012) - Elijah Wood is awesome in this!
Under the Skin (2013)
-

Suspiria and The Beyond....just some of the Italo-horror classics. Even the "lesser" films have their own greatness...
I haven't seen Bad Taste in 20 years, but I thought it was quite entertaining. I had old mix tapes with the theme song on it and I still remember some of the lyrics (don't expect perfection, ha!)
"We've got the reason to believe
We've got the power to succeed
Blah blah blah
You left a bad taste in my mouth"
Or something like that.
I have seen Maniac, but, to be honest, I'd have to rewatch it because so many films blend together.

Cronos is awesome - top choice.
Hausu / House - Is just pure insanity but in a good way.
Matango - Great movie.
Martin - It's one of Romeros underrated movies from a time when he still made good movies, Knight Riders is another one.
Maniac (2012) - I really don't like most Horror Remakes but this one is really good.
I have to check out your other suggestions.
A few of my movies who missed my top 10 (+ movies already mentioned in this thread):
Re-Animator & Bride of Re-Animator, Evil Dead series, Hellraiser 1 + 2, Mausoleum, Torso, Shock, Shadow of the Vampire, Possession & City of the lost Children.

I have Knight Riders on videotape somewhere. Why do I still have boxes of old VHS tapes?
I liked Knight Riders...I also liked The Crazies despite the horrible title.
Season of the Witch wasn't too noteworthy, from what I can remember of it.
I like City of Lost Children, too.
-
Not a big fan of the genre, but I did like the Hellraiser movies (at least the first couple) back in the day.
-
I love late 70s/early 80s slasher trash, especially if Tom Savini was doing the makeup effects.
Also, it's great to see that some of these more obscure gems (for non-horror fans at least) are getting remakes that are anywhere from decent (My Bloody Valentine) to pretty good (Maniac), instead of the god awful Dimension/Platinum Dunes treatment that Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Chainsaw Massacre, etc. received.
And I have to give a ton of love to all the great Italian Giallo films from the 60s, 70s, and 80s as well. Bava, Argento, and Fulci are the true godfathers of horror and gore!
