They called me on Monday and said they would restock it in a few days and my order would ship then. So I'm guessing/hoping it's only temporary.

Hmm.. I checked my account at NintendoRepairShop.com despite having a paypal reciept for payment when I logged in it said my order for the screwdriver never processed. I used the email tracker thing to email the guy. I was expecting to get that screwdriver by now :(

Thanks!  Feel free to link it.

Also, if anyone out there finds a different source for those parts (lens and gamebit), please let me know and I'll add them to the walkthrough.

My experience over the past 2 months with electronics-online really makes my day.
I've been waiting for 1,5 months now (after paying 105 bucks) to hear that the units have been backordered.
Over the whole time i've received nearly no response for my emails.
Communication and reliability was as bad as can be.
Finally received my refund today. I'm finished with that shop. That guys suck Big Time!!

Does anyone have an alternate address for the hop-m3?
Anyway, i'll try to figure out an alternative.
If there's any news i'll let you know.

Kind regards to all PCE freaks out there,
 herr-g

That's good news.
Does that mean, they do have them in stock again?

Title: Found more sites that carry hop-m3
Post by: willis on October 29, 2006, 05:48:03 PM
I found some sites that carry the hop-m3. If anyone is interested here they are:

http://www.cdlens.com/?item=4424
http://www.ersatzteil.justone-schnepel.de/html/hitachi_hopm3_hop_m3.html

The first link is from a place i've ordered from recetly and everything went smoothly. I think they are from poland. Super fast email replies and shipping to the U.S. took like  7 days so overall it was great! The second site i have no idea about other than they do have them in stock.

Just thought i'd share info in case someone is in need of a replacement.

Do you live in North America or Europe? Just curous about shipping.
Title: U.S.
Post by: willis on October 30, 2006, 01:48:40 PM
I live in the U.S. and shipping was about i think $10 (i ordered 2).

Great support for them, answered my emails promptly and the hop-m3 comes with a 6-month warranty.

The price is quite a bit steeper than electronix, though... I suppose if you're in a hurry...  I ordered mine from electronix around mid-September (I think...), and I was able to get two of them  :)

Now my previously non-working Japanese Duo (which I got as a freebe when I bought my SuperGrafx) is working and hummin'.  Sweeeet  :D

Yeah, it's steeper than electronix but they didn't have any and in an email i sent them they said they don't carry it. :(
