My wife is a Columns enthusiast. (no pun intended)

My better half has been fallen in love for the dancing penguins in Bomberman 94's ice battle stage.

Besides, she is always a helpful 2nd player in Salamander.

My loves certain games, mostly classic arcade games she played when she went to arcades.

Galaga
Ms. Pac Man
Tapper
Etc.

So Galaga '88/'90 was one of the only games she would have been interested in.

HOWEVER, over the past few years, she has left dropped a lot of things, including most video games.

So, currently, she plays a puzzle game on her phone...Sudoku or _____.

So, to answer the question: NO.

Sadly my wife doesn't. However our daughter does!

My gf is obsessed with heroes of might and magic (especially IV), roller coaster tycoon, sims and age of empires. Yep, it was love at first 'sight'

In hindsight I married the wrong woman. She detests video games. "my house is not an arcade" she says. Still, she's a good cook and a good mother.

GF has played a bit here and there, she get's upset if she sucks but rubs it in if she rocks, lol

We have had some fun runs with Bomberman 94 with us and the kids.

No, it's good when folks don't share every single interest. :) Keeps the spark alive.

Of course, you don't want a spark igniting a powder keg.

The endless arguments I have with my wife over video games is really *special* and *endearing*.

3...2...1....

....but she just shrugs her shoulders and moves on...

Mine likes Bonk

She likes to Bonk all night long.

Now she has a Zonk in the oven.

The lady loves Bonk's Adventure.  I tried getting her on Ninja Spirit and Outrun which, to quote her, "are okay...but they aren't Bonk".  Me, I'm just glad she's showing enthusiasm for a game other than Mario, even if she likes it mainly because it reminds her Mario...

My wife isnt allowed anywhere near my video games.

I already suspect that she is going to off me soon for insurance reasons. I caught her emailing nullity about my collections value and how to divide it up.

No the girlfriend doesn't OBEY. If it's not Candy Crush, she's not playing games.

This topic should have a poll.

It would be less painful for me to click "no" than to have to contemplate and express my disappointment letter by agonizing letter for all to read.
It is done.

My wife only obeys with cratermaze and few other titles. She's mostly into puzzle type games and a few shmups. My daughter is into cutemups so she plays a few obey games as well. My boys sad to say do not obey. If it's not some derivative of an HD 1st person shooter, they are not interested lol.

My daughter OBEYS and she loves all sorts of games.

She loves video games in general.

No one will believe me, but I did NOT encourage her to play.

I was happy she was naturally interested in video games, though. :)

My wife is probably the worst when it comes to video games.  She doesn't play video games at all and she even gets mad when she see me playing.  She feels that video games are a waste of time and rot the brain.

Also, she thinks having games in the house is an eyesore.  She confined my game shelf to a corner of the house and had me put a curtain over the front so they are not in plain sight.

She's anti-Obey, but definitely makes it up in other ways.

If Bomberman with 5 or more people counts, then yes! I've somehow managed to get my friends interested in Bomberman despite their obsession with Smash Bros. So thankfully my girlfriend also liked Bomberman.

My wife only has one arm and she grew up playing the original NES.

Although she feels having games and various game systems is an eye sore. Even though I work very hard to keep things looking clean organized and presented in interesting ways so as not to look like a junk heap.

Sigh. When we buy a house and God willing I get my own little man cave she will be less annoyed as she won't have to see it. So long as I keep it contained in one spot and not have it spill into othe rooms or a storage unit.

My wife doesn't really play that much older stuff anymore, but she grew up with SNES and such so she has an appreciation for the older games.

She still plays the 3DS and PSP a lot, and we'll normally play through RPGs together.  Right now we're doing Wind Waker HD which looks pretty amazing.  That said, there have been discussions about me reducing the size of my collection if we want to have a second kid which makes me go oh noes!

I'm sorry to hear you'll be downsizing your collection

That's a battle you're destined to lose. The wifey holds the trump card so if you want her to ever touch your deck again...

Lol, the other solution is possibly changing homes.  We're less than enamored with our current school district anyway so that is a possibility.  If it is just space issues I WILL find a way to make it work.

No wife here, but if I did she'd have to OBEY a little bit, even if it's just to humor me.

Me and gf of 5 years game a shit load. Met in the first year of uni doing mushrooms and playing donkey kong country. No OBEYing atm , we're playing deathsmiles on the 360. I think the last game we beat before that was xandra/whirlo ... such an unappreciated game.

Let me know how it is. I actually haven't played that yet. My wife isn't the biggest fan of beatemups. I could use something to entice her into the genre.

My wife plays games when she hears a familiar tune or sees me having fun and realizes she wants to play, but doesn't generally pick it up herself.

My lady is quite the same way.  She doesn't want anything to do with my games until she sees me having fun with a game that isn't a shoot em up (as those drive her CRAZY), and then she'll proceed to steal my controller & ruin my progress.  I really don't mind, though; I'm just elated that ANYONE would voluntarily pick up some of these games, other than me, as I constantly feel special-Ed talking about nothing but retro games to friends & getting glazed "y u no destiny/call of duty/GTA?" looks.

Yeah I'm the same way, feel pretty fortunate that my lady doesn't mind me constantly playing games, watching videos online etc. I'm sure it gets pretty annoying to someone who isn't in the hobby but she enjoys some of the main stream shit she grew up with mostly anything gameboy or donkey kong country, mario etc. which is better than nothing I guess.
