PCEFX.com superstar mega-user Syphic gave me the idea to look under the cd/hu tray of my games to see if previous owners had stuffed the spines or baggies of crystal somethingorother in them.
I didn't find either of those, but i did find something kind of funny in my Dragon Knight 2 & 3 cases... Has anyone else found anything in their cases? Stories and/or pics!

I have maybe 60-ish games whos cases I have yet to replace.. I wonder if I'll find anything? Hopefully narcotics.
-
The worst I've had is a copy of Ocarina of Time with a file named using the N-word. Glad I checked it before I resold it.

That was probably from Bill Zandrew - not a common name... He used to be active on the Turbo and Saturn lists 15-20 years ago...

Nully got it for a 'deal of a lifetime', which involved a half eaten bag of skittles and kneepads.

Someone at Nintendo Age found a progress report from 1989 inside a Deadly Towers box.

Haha! I remember reading that thread.
I have gotten lucky and found spine cards underneath the tray several times. Maybe 1 out of 8 games that I get will have the spine card tucked in there.

Interesting find. I've found a few spine cards and codes written on paper.

Just checked a majority of my jewel cases, found nothing. Sorely disappointed.

I bought a bundle of old gaming magazines some time ago.
One particularly fun thing was seeing that someone had selected a game from one of the games dealers in the back pages. The mail-away order form was carefully clipped out, and you could see handwritten notes on the page where the buyer had done the math and correctly factored in shipping and tax for his/her purchase.
Sadly, the game that this person appears to have selected was Acclaim's fortune/tarot NES game, "Taboo"...original MSRP was $39.99 in this particular advertisement!

I've found some old receipts and codes in a few of my ps1 games.

Anyone ever find a pot leaf in their jewel case?
-
I used to buy girlie mahjong games from this dude in NY and he would always include something extra. One time, he sent my wife a pair of pantyhose. That's the only awesome "find" I've ever found. I'm boring.
-
I found a few original receipts from 1990 in the game boxes that I just bought/sold from that auction.

You wouldn't believe the number of times I have found pot or something else hidden in the expansion bay of a PS2.

lol colorado
lol I used to have a friend who would sometimes put a little (http://i.imgur.com/e9AAj5M.jpg) inside stuff when selling it. I thought it was funny.

What was he... a sandwich bag reseller?
Nah, not this one in particular, but I've had my share of friends who were street pharmacists at one time or another. lol
