I'm not sure how far anyone has gotten, from skimming, it seems the fellow was able to quickly locate/identify key parts of the code that reveal:
(1) text is uncompressed (good)
(2) data is not stored in a super-simple array/table (mystery to be solved)

As digital comics go, it's not fantastic if you are stumbling around without reading Japanese. I can only guess it might be decent if translated, although it's pretty basic for the genre.
