My wife tracked me down a Buescher 400 "Top hat and Cane" Alto sax a few years back. She'll always be awesome for that.
As for gaming she supports but doesn't feed my addiction.

MY wife has bought me a couple modern gaming items over the years. She gave me a Nintendo Wii for Christmas one year, and a couple of XBLA/PSN cards. In general, when it comes to games she wouldn't have the first idea of what to buy, since she is firmly a non-gamer.

To think there are many of us on this forum with women who will ACTUALLY let us touch them!
Anyway, my wife has bought me Coryoon, Soldier Blade, and a full TG-CD setup.

With me and my wife, it is more of a "Hey, I bought this for my birthday/anniversary/valentines/christmas". With me it used to be car parts, now it is usually game stuff.

I always figured the forums with lots of single, undesirable men were NintendoAge and Neo-Geo.com.

My wife has always gone out of her way to find cool stuff related to my hobbies. It has been harder for her to buy me games though because I have pretty specific tastes and a lot already. But she has asked my friends to figure out what I want. One year she got me a boxed vectrex and games, last birthday was a SFII pcb from japan with full artwork. She also found some cool Godzilla sofubi stuff for christmas.

Happy b-day, haboobi.
I do not have a wife...... is Donna available?

My wife generally does not like stuff that distracts me from real life, so she is not the biggest fan of my obsession. She hates all the plastic bins/tubs filled games, magazines, etc.
In her defense, I am hopelessly obsessed and I'd have more consoles/cabs if I could afford them/ had room (I have no room for more than 1 arcade cabinet).
My daughter is genuinely interested in old games.
Happy b-day, haboobi.

So, my wife and I both enjoy video games. We used to go by this local media store every Sunday to dig through the games they had and pick up stuff. It was a glorious time and many awesome deals were had from NES to PS2 all at what would be considered amazing prices.
At some point though, I became a bit too focused on the collecting aspect and started to get more and more stuff that I wanted to play and mess around with online. I would buy in lots with the goal to keep some and resell the dupes, but after awhile I discovered I was not really selling much or very fast. It wasn't really that big of a deal until we had our daughter and that definitely changed the math on extra funds available plus brought to light how much we were spending.
I have continued to collect and play but have slowed down a lot on both fronts, and my wife still plays some games but not as much anymore. We had lots of weekends before where we would just veg out and play all weekend and plenty of gifts giving were gaming related. That still happens to a degree (I had preordered the Ni no Kuni Wizard Edition for her when that came out and she was ecstatic to receive it), and if she does feed my habits rarely it is something small and Sega or Sonic related, never PCE.
But, I think the main thing is our lives are both shifting away from games to a degree with my daughter now 2 years old. It's still a part of our lives, just not as much focus as previously, and I'm personally trying only to purchase things with funds derived from selling off other stuff.

My gf tries but gets confused and orders things that seem likes what she's looking for but the way people list things on eBay and Amazon are deceiving as we all have seen and her use of these sites is almost zero so she ends up getting me a game she thinks is cib but never is.....I appreciate the effort but told her just use my wish list or watch list as they are vetted already, lol
