Hi everyone! First post here, just got my firts PC Engine.  :dance:

I searched information about power supply options for the old white model and I'm having hard time to find it. I found some tips about Turbo Duo in one topic, CD-ROM² in another and so on. How about to get everything in one topic so everyone can check it?

I got a white PC Engine and the first Core Grafx, both without cables and controllers. I don't know the specs of the power supply for the various PC Engine models. I saw at Classic Game Room youtube channel that the guy was using a Model 1 Sega Genesis power adapter with the Core Grafx, but I don't want to test it without checking because I don't want to fry anything. I already had some consoles with their power adapters: japanese Mega Drive Model 1 (MK-1602 brick), brazilian Master System Model 2 (don't have the number but looks like the small one, MK-3025), american Super Nintendo and I'm waiting a complete Super 32X to arrive (with it's MK-2103 power supply).

Can I use one of those power adapters I have in my PCE/CGfx consoles or do I need to get one for them (and what are the specifications do I need to look)? What can I use from other consoles to provide power for the PCE family? What are the specs for each of the systems? It would be really cool if I get a confirmation of what I found in some topics:  :pray:

- PC Engine/ Turbografx-16/ CoreGrafx: will work with Model 1 Mega Drive and Master System powers adapters
- Interface Unit + PCE + CD-ROM²: will work with Model 1 Mega Drive power adapter
- PC Engine DUO: will it work with Model 1 Mega Drive power adapter (really not sure  :-k)
- DUO-R/RX: ???

White PC Engine and Core Grafx need a 9v center negative power supply.  They can use a Genesis/MegaDrive 1 power supply. 

The interface unit has a different tip IIRC, but similar specs (needs more current but voltage is the same).  I think its supply can fit in the coregrafx consoles but not vice versa.

PC engine duo and Duo-r both use different supplies from each other with similar specs.  They are both center positive but have a different size tip.  Duo-r/rx can use a Genesis/MegaDrive 2 power supply, PS2 Slim power supply, others...  Regualr Duo doesn't really have another console that has the same size tip that i am aware of (besides a couple other late PC engine consoles).  Its tip size is  6.3mm x 3.0mm and has a center positive tip.

I know many people sell PCE/Coregrafx systems with Genesis compatible power supplies and some sell Duo R/RX systems with PSOne power supplies.

seems like this is only one guy maybe.  he seems to make these power supplies only available for a short time each month.  probably only makes a few at a time.

they may, but there are 4 or so different ones that these consoles use. 
4.75mm x 1.7mm
5.5mm x 2.1mm
5.5mm x 2.5mm
6.3mm x 3.0mm
3.5mm x 1.35mm

Not sure what the TE/GT (found it) use or if those above are all the different sizes

These are the ones I know:
PAD-105 + PAD-106 + HES-ACA-01  = 5.5mm x 2.1mm
PAD-113 + PAD-124 + PAD-125   = 6.3mm x 3.0mm
PAD-129 + PAD 130 = 4.75mm x 1.7mm
AD-IF30 (Interface Unit)  = 5.5mm x 2.5mm
PAD-121  = 3.5mm x 1.35mm

Does anyone know if all the IFU variants (there were two? I think) require the exact same specs for power adapter?

I need one for my recently acquired briefcase.

This place has insanely limited stock. Their retro Trio(Sega/CD/32X) adapters went on sale Friday @ 6 and were sold out by the time I got online at 7:30. They had PCE stuff on Sunday which is now OOS. Luckily when I cheked on Sunday they had some of the Sega 2 device adapters in stock, which I need for my XEYE and CDX(OOS later that day).
