Title: Sony PVM-1271Q
Post by: Duo_R on May 29, 2015, 06:18:57 AM
So I found one of these on craigslist, they say it works good. Asking is $75, I think it would be cool for testing RGB systems and arcade boards.

Is that a good price or should I offer less? It's a 12inch RGB monitor.

Price seems high to me. I'd offer him $40 at most

For that size, it is too much. If it was me i'd offer no more than $25-50 at most. Especially when the nicer 20" pvm/bvm go for around $100

I also use a small JVC TM-A101G for testing on my workbench and its awesome...small but awesome lol

OK he says open to offers, I'm thinking $45. I would really like a small tester TV for the work bench.

I have one of these, it's a neat little monitor. You can use either the 25pin cmptr port or the BNC for RGB. You need a lm1881 sync stripper circuit for the BNC but not the cmptr oddly. I would offer $35

I just went and had a look on CL.  Would definitely not pay $75 for that.  It doesn't look like it's been well-taken care of.  I would lowball the shit out of that guy if you're dead set on getting the monitor.  Otherwise I'd hold out for something better.

Looks like he will take $40, worth it to me. Too bad I don't got some BNC connectors handy to test it.

Good point Jibba if condition isn't good I'll lower offer.
