I am doing a road trip from FL to NY (yes, I know it is a long and sucky drive) and would like to know if there are any good places to pick up some Turbo games on the way?

Here is everything we know:

Listen to PCE/TG-16 tunes on the journey and you won't find it nearly as brutal. :)

You may want to check out the various PA/DE stores. I hear good things about some of them. DigitPress is pretty infamous to boot, but I don't know if they have any Turbo. Drexel apparently has some.

haha, I did Jacksonville to NY two weeks ago.
Long drive, but an easy one.

I just went today to a store in Manhattan called Video Games New York. Here's a photo of what I saw today.

^ yeah! that's a nice place...but mostly ebay prices
-
I was at that store a couple of years ago - the prices on some things are nuts but there's a lot of stuff that's reasonably priced. Fun to look around at the very least.

I do not think you should travel to New Jersey simply for Digital Press (there are many better reasons to visit NJ, which is the best state in the damn nation, of course :) ...like, you can finally go to a REAL deli, a REAL diner, get some REAL pizza, get some REAL bagels, etc. and that's just because food is on my mind)...
BUT, if you can take better pictures of the store (and to see if things have changed in the last 8-9(!!!) years:

These were taken with my old flip phone on 09-15-07, so you can do better :)
Anyway, the display case is pretty neat if you have never seen any of this hardware in person.
I don't think I will ever get closer to a real PCE LT or DUO monitor, personally.

This is the only display box I saw there.

Does the placard for the PC-FX still reference the fact that it's the successor to the "TurboGarfx"?

I'll second what tool said. VGNY is always overpriced. 8bit isn't really better, either. Game Champ had good prices, but I don't think any are in Manhattan, adn they closed the one I went to in Brooklyn. Never saw any Turbo in them anyway.

Esteban. Digital Press looks mostly the same. The only big difference I can see is that the turbo to buy section is now almost non existent.

Yeah, I can't say I'm surprised. Thanks for the scoop.
ALSO!!!!! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? :)
My kids have been loving the Pokemon figures you sent me ages ago. When you sent them, they were just for my oldest daughter, but now I have twins (4 years old) and they love playing with the figures, too.
Who knew?

Glad they enjoyed them! I like when things don't go to waste. I have been well Esty. I spent a long time, working through a bunch of family issues, and starting a career. Spent some time playing semi-professional blizzard games, to bring in extra cash. (I'd die before I sold anything with an OBEY label) But I have some free time again and looking forward to diving back into my passion for the games, and this wonderful forum.
