Title: Openemu has a really cool filter feature...
Post by: lukester on June 29, 2015, 04:30:28 PM
For those that have a Mac, you can play your PC engine games on openemu.

I discovered the filter feature today, which changes how the game looks.

There are CRT TV, scan line, av composite modes.

Also there is something called SABR which smooths the pixels and makes them into lines. It's like a drawing.

Blinky makes everything negative, neon and fuzzy.

I hope to post some screenshots tomorrow, to show you guys what it looks like.

I kind of like pixel-smoothing filters for the very reason that they look like drawings, but lots of guys on here don't care for filters.

Also, they're a very common feature in most popular emulators...

I really like the CRT filter a lot.  That's the one I always use, actually.  OpenEmu and a USB Saturn pad are the next best thing to the real thing.
