Got a used turbo express some one try ed to fix and failed the ribbon was missing and ide ribbon cable was a pain to get in old style thick so I deside to fix the problem the right way and installed ribbon zif sockets here is the result fits snug in the case but works great

Cool. I caused this problem with my PS2 actually... Folding of the ribbon too many times between the motherboard and controller input port caused it to break contact... My fix was horribly tedious, but I got it done - I soldered thin transformer wire for each contact maybe about 40 times, I don't remember... It was a 3 day project, but I got my system working again with a regular controller...

Had no choice all the pads all but 5 where missing so simple way to make use of the tiny traces left vs wiring a rats nest lol
