since i'm from Canada we dont have all the USA market in fast food around...
but i watch lots of shows and keep seeing some restaurants pubs i never heard about..
maybe some of them are in canada but not in my current region
some stuff looks delicious ....so much bacon...woah... =P~
fast food is bad for your health...
but sometime its hard to not step in and try it
so wich is your favorite ?
-
I like Chipotle.
I don't go to any other fast food (they usually don't have a vegetarian menu).
WAIT, I go to Dunkin' Donuts. They have horribly crappy tater tots...but I have been known to eat a jelly donut + tater tots + coffee (at any time of the day).
DD has the audacity to call these shiteballs "hash browns"...
IT IS PURE CRAP AND I LOVE IT, until I feel sick to my stomach, but the nausea passes after a few minutes.
-
haha :)
i loved dunkin donut back then.....
before they all disapear....now we're stuck with only tim horton EVERYWHERE
...
and they sure dont have that many choices :(

Duncan Donuts is pretty bad, ever had a cream filled donut that has about a table spoon of cream in it?
Yeah, their hash browns are horrendous, they begrudingly will make you a breakfast sandwich there too.

I like to indulge in fast food occasionally, almost like a dessert meal or something, just because it's so bad for you. Chipotle isn't that bad, but stuff along the lines of McDonalds, Wendys, or Taco Bell can probably kill you if eaten regularly. Oh, and Arby's is good if you win the lottery, I will leave discussion of Chik fil A as an exercise to the reader.
-
McDonald's standardized imitation food products figuratively kill me whenever I irregularly make the mistake of eating them.
-
oh dear.. I'm from canada too but we are starting to get small burger shops all over toronto now... hamburger joints are getting big here and some of them are good while the rest are just... lame..
i for one enjoy the all time classics from wendy's... Spicy Chicken Sandwich? Sign me up! 1/2lb Double burger? Of course i'd love to eat that... and also... the frostys... heaven i tell you..
-
Where i live in quebec (not quebec city)
the only known fast food chain we have :-s
-mcdonald
-burger king
-A&W
-KFC
excepton of
-tim horton (not fast food but still spreading like a disease here)
-
My favorite fast food joints are Taco Bell and Runza (small regional chain), but I also enjoy McDs for their yogurt, Wendys for their chili, and Arbys for their Arby-Q.
-
as weird as it may be.. my place is flooding with weird restaurant using icons
like this ... wich blew me aways some years ago 8) like...wtf is that
(it looked ...so bad)

Arby's restaurants are getting scarce here in Toronto... i'd have to drive out 30km just to find one... their sandwiches are delightful

I wish they'd bring Taco Bell here to the UK, that's some good shit.

There's a taco bell in lakeside shopping centre, ESSEX
I would say Nandos is my favourite. Mmmm chicken

I don't know if they are the same now, but 20 years ago McD had yummy Apple Empanadas (the menu said "apple pie").
It was the only reason to go to McD!

I would love to go to Super Mario Diner!

Cool, I didn't realise we still had a Taco Bell. In the nineties I went to as far as I know then the only one in the UK at the time, was in Earls Court, London. It was always pretty empty when I went there, then it closed down and I thought well that's it for Taco Bell and the UK.
I would say Nandos is my favourite. Mmmm chicken
Yeah I was gonna mention Nando's myself, but then I thought it's not really "fast food", as you sit down and eat on plates with knife and fork. It's got to be the one of the fastest spreading restaurant chains I've ever seen in this country. I'm not sure if it's hit America yet, guess it would be massively popular there.

You can get Nandos to take away. There's one behind my work. It's deadly to my wallet and waistline.

I'm yet to meet anyone who doesn't like Nando's, and every time I go to one they're always packed with people.
I also really like Wagamama, but again not sure you'd class that as "fast food".

McDonald's: I like their cheeseburgers and chickenburgers a lot. But often I found the fries to be flabby.
Burger King: Mhm... Whopper. Enough said. Their fries are crispy, but their buns are often too dry for my taste.
Subway: Just give me any random sort of sandwich, but with honey oat bread and honey mustard sauce. Keep the Jalapenos away, then I'm satisfied.
Asia Gourmet: It's an asian fast food chain with emphasis on Thai cuisine. Their crispy chicken with peanut sauce rocks.
Back Factory: Self-service bakery. When I have a day off, I like to go there in the morning and take a seat with bagels and coffee.
Let's not forget the old joke:(http://abload.de/img/joecheezburgerzjsgk.jpg)

My favorites are Whataburger and Sonic. When I'm in the mood for a chicken sandwich though it's Chick fil a.
Whataburger is the only place I know of where the default burger is made the way I like it. No cheese or mayo.
-
Chipotle is delicious, but gives me bad shits. I still eat it once a week.
McDonald's has certain things that are pretty good, and their new Sirloin Burger is fantastic.
Chick Fil A is great overall.
Burger King gives me diarrhea.

You have a weak stomach. I rarely eat Chipotle or Burger King, but never had a problem doing so.

I prefer a Big King to a Big Mac. I also prefer Chicken Royale to Mc Chicken Sandwich.
Also this geezer is off his trolley

so wich is your favorite ?
For me it would have to be Chick-fil-A. I dig it because I don't feel like I'm going to die after I eat it.
On the other end of the spectrum, when I'm in the mood to feel like crap WHATABURGER is where it's at. Awesome food, but it's so damn greasy.
-
I almost never eat fast food, I generally hate it. But for some reason especially traveling for work all over the area I can't help but try chains once. Sadely this has made me think of all the chains I have tried once or more . . . I can't say I like any of them really, but there are things I like such as wendy's chilli or Jersey MIke's orginal. . .
Mcd
BK
Wendy's
Chipotle
Moe's
Qdoba
Bubbakoos
Checker's
white castle
sonic
Dairy Queen
Dunkin' Donuts
Taco Bell
KFC
Little Caesars
Chick-fil-A
Jersey Mike's Subs
Jimmy John's
Quizno's
Arby's
-
My fav is Rush's which is a local chain that has great burgers and fried chicken. Runners up are Sonic and Arbys.
McDonalds and BK are dead to me.
-
ice seen lots of sonic and wendy's tv pub :)
(that red head in the wendy's tv spot is quite cute huhu)
-
Little chef holy shit
Also I live within a 10 minute drive of
5 mcd
2 wimpy
1 bk
1 kfc
That's the choice as far as chain fast food goes.
I do have a nice chip shop, Chinese and indian locally however
Where I work there are literally hundreds of standalone chicken places with varying degrees of hygiene from death to passable. They are all called perfect fried chicken or a variation . There's even one near a mosque called holy fried chicken.

I guess. I can eat KFC just fine though. Their portion sizes are pretty incredible (and incredibly greasy), but I don't eat there often

Best "eat while drunk" food. When I took a trip to New Orleans last year, that's basically all I ate in the wee hours of the morning. In Krystals, getting Krystal burgers, getting propositioned by hookers named Krystal. It's a great place.
-
New Englanders live off some fast food and we have good choices...
Taco bell will not give you the shits despite the lame internet meme theory, if you don't have stomach issues you are fine and the food is damn cheap and darn tasty.
Chipotle is good but it's a bit pricey and the spice can be uneven at times, but it's miles better than MOE'S (WELCOME TO MOES) thier food is dry bland shit.
Popeyes and KFC both rock, but for different reasons, KFC original, man I could just eat a bucket of that skin...Popeyes is spicer and more crunchya nd $5 box is FULL of food, like enough for two people, the read beans and rice is meh though, good pies as well.
That's a lil bit of insight from me, and I haven't died (yet)
Good luck :P
-
For me it comes down to:
1. Chipotle - a perfect low carb option...get the salad bowl with chicken, veggies, tomatoes, salsa, cheese, sour cream or guac
2. Five Guys - best burgers without a doubt.
3. Popeyes - easily the best fried chicken money can buy
-
Taco Bell is my second home away from home.
I rarely touch McD's these day and it's because they always served rubbery chicken, cold beef, and soggy fries. Their system of cooking meat and then keeping it in steam warmer isn't helping when other places can serve just as fast but is much fresher off the grill and not after 2 hours steaming.
I also don't bother KFC much, too greasy for anything. Even their soft drink seems greasy.
Wendy's, A&W, Arby's, and White Castle are still decent but not something I'd eat every day. There isn't "nicier" fast food like Qdoba or Chipottle nearby.
-
Even their soft drink seems greasy.
That's definitely an interesting statement
-
Once in a while I'll stop by a Burger King and partake in the 2 Whoppers for $5 bucks deal. I REALLY REALLY grew out of a Big Mac... Ugh for the most part, it was that sauce that was good, but the last time I tried it years ago, I found it leaves a bad aftertaste and just some feeling of foulness, like overeating on Gyros and what not... Nah, the Whopper definitely is the better burger compared to the ole Big Mac...

The UK is in Europe, and the other countries in Europe (Spain, France etc.) I've been to have a lot more fast food on offer than McDonalds.
There are quite a few countries I haven't been to though, I was genuinely curious which country only has McDonalds for fast food???
:D

I vividly remember going to a Burger King in Germany maybe 20 years ago. The Whopper has infected the whole world.

Maybe you're thinking of mad cow disease? It was maybe 20 years ago that infected beef was served in parts of Europe.
-
I would say though that outside of major cities on the continent, fast food chains are more uncommon. This little Portuguese island I'm on has none.

Yeah, google pastes/quilts together images, usually pretty seamless, but you get the occasional glitch.

All major cities have been infected, especially if they are tourist destinations.
There is a Burger King kiosk in the Tower of London. You have to bow you head whilst ordering and kneel before the Royal Burger (it is in a bullet-proof glass display).

DUDE! The part of the article that intrigued me the most was "Doritos roulette" where one out of every handful of chip is SUPER-SPICY.
I have to admit, that is a kool concept.
I love having a bag of all-spicy chips, but if I hit a SUPER SPICY chip every now and then—damn, that would be awesome.
I don't really eat Doritos, though.
-
Who would be offended by something being spicy when it's advertised as being SPICY?
-
"Offend" is almost useless these days. The word should be restricted to only "attack."

Indeed, good sir.

Nando's is like the upmarket KFC
Macdonalds although a hit and miss sometimes it feels like I'm chewing cardboard but some stores they get it right and I love the way you can now order at those touch screen self service points and have the food delivered to your seating zone.
Itsu is a great sushi chain, pricey but when you crave the sashimi that's the place for me.
Burger King I crave every now and then but only the restaurant near Aldgate near the whitechapel art gallery
Brick lane is another great place for food especially on the Sunday morning/noon times. Lots of vendors selling food from all corners of the earth in one spot.
Also any shop that does decent middle eastern; Shawarma, falafel and doner kebabs :Q
EDIT:
If i'm not lazy... I make my own fast food.

I use the same BK. So expensive now though I only get whatever is on offer. I have had cause to visit many businesses on brick lane. All I can say is I wouldn’t have a curry down there if you value your life. Been going beigel shop for years tho.

LOL!
This thread.
I just read the response I posted in 2015 and it made me chuckle out loud!
"Greasy beefy goodness..."

That perfectly sums up 5 guys though
