You will want to play this game again, comrade.

It is not a pice of bubble gum!

I guarantee that you will get the itch (depending how old you are) in the next 1-3 years.

I love going back to this game. :)

I have the Genesis/MD version of Twin Cobra though, so I can go back to [a much harder version of] the game if I so desire and listen to those rockin' MD guitars  :D - the same sound engine as Battle Mania Daiginjou.

I enjoyed the PCE port; it served me well, but I'm no collector.

Bump with some CD titles. If you were astute enough to read my WTB thread, you might guess that I'd like New Zealand Story and Cross Wiber, complete or HuCard. Maybe we can work something out.

Bump to include Fiend Hunter.

Do you have a pic of Exile II, and does it have the obi (spine card)?  I've been meaning to get it.

Ooh... I didn't even notice it, but I might do Valis II as well.
Title: Re: FS: PCE-CD titles
Post by: EmperorIng on October 18, 2015, 06:00:53 PM
I updated with pics in the OP. XZR II doesn't have an OBI, but it does have the Reg card.

Get 'em while they're hot (ie I've put them on ebay earlier)!

These games are pretty text heavy right? Doesn't look like anything I could play easily.
Title: Re: FS: PCE-CD titles
Post by: EmperorIng on October 18, 2015, 07:00:40 PM
Gotzendiener has no text. Xak is manageable but you'd need a FAQ for a few parts. XZR is something that can be done with brute force and making sure you have the manual open to the "items" page.

Fiend Hunter's only "RPG" portion is at the very beginning, and is over quickly (talk to two people, buy stuff, leave).

Gotzendiener looks really interested and I'd like to pick it up.

XZR and Gotzendiener are SOLD!

EDIT: Valis II also sold!

Bump; adding Browning (SCD). It is in good condition, though the previous owner put a small piece of paper or tape over the spine and wrote "BROWNING" - hey, it makes it easier to pick out from a group of CD titles.

Sold off Legend of Xanadu when fan translation patches could see the light of day some time next year ?? Tsk. ;)

I'm interested in Xak I & II. When I went to check for eBay price ranges, I actually found your eBay listing for it! You're in Chicago ? I was gonna make you an offer, but if you're willing, I could pick it up from you and save on shipping if you're not too far. I'm also in Chicago!

That's kinda funny since Browning is one of the few PCE games that also has the English name on the spine.

Good luck with the sale.

Another Chicagoan! My schedule of on-days and off-days is usually in flux, and the post office is in walking distance to my house - so shipping is no biggy. At least you'd be assured it would get there quick.

I'd also imagine the language barrier wouldn't be a large problem for you, if you're still interested.  :D

When I retire I *might* take up a translation project for it so I can say I handled all of the Xak series for the PC Engine along with Xak III. :) It would mostly be in storage until that time honestly.

Items arrived, both hucards check out ok so far, however the Valis 3 disc has light top scratch and tiny pinhole damage that was not confirmed by you per our pm's back and forth. Odds are good this is why the disc skipped on you, per what you said in your pm. The game will need to go back to you, please check your pm for details.
Title: Re: FS: Nothing, for Now
Post by: EmperorIng on January 04, 2016, 09:52:20 AM
I'm sorry to hear that; I honestly wasn't aware of the damage when I send the photographs. I sent you a PM for sending the disc back.
Title: Re: FS: Nothing, for Now
Post by: ProfessorProfessorson on January 04, 2016, 10:09:48 AM
Yeah its nothing that would have shown up in the pic you sent. Resolution of your pics were too low I guess. The pinhole thing can only be seen anyway by holding the disc up directly to a light anyway. Thats why I recommended checking that way. :(

Shubibinman 2 is SOLD. Up for grabs now is MOTOROADER MC!

Hey, did you ever get far in MotoRoader MC?

Many, many years ago (12+?) I made it pretty far (as far as I could tell), but, upon revisiting it last year, I wasn't making much progress.

I was using a modern flatscreen TV, though, and I think I was experiencing some lag with video signal.

Anyway, I need to buy a new CRT TV and see if the culprit was, indeed, technical vs. degenerating skills.

I played the game for a while, but I think without the multiplayer aspect it loses something. I was not a huge fan of the "tap forward"/"tap backward" method of using weapons; the lack of buttons on the controller really hindered the experience.

While it was a cheap game with some admirable aspects, i had it for a while before deciding it wasn't for me.
