Ok I'll try and do a quick video on the inside. Essentially what I am doing is using a switch to toggle from III to another switch that shorts it to select or run. The switch on the right changes from either normal III mode or the "3 button mode" if that makes sense. Then from there it goes to a 2pdt switch where you can select either select or run.
The project used two small 2PDT switches.

Yeah I figured you just used a couple slide switches and cut a trace or two and rewired something. But yeah, post something up. I wanna see what size switch you went with and the placement. I just got a AVE Pad 6 in, so I am interested in nabbing some switches and doing the mod.
Note: you dont have to do a full on video guide, would just be cool to have some HQ pics showing the switch placement, what traces you cut, and what areas you tapped/soldered on to.

for sure that wouldn't be hard. Yeah I will pop it open. I do believe I had to cut a trace so it will be helpful to share a photo.

Sorry for this taking so long. I opened up the controller and well I had to try and figure out what I did. Sometimes I just mod and just go for it, and when I don't take notes I have to figure out how I did the work. lol
I did another mod to this controller so there are ALOT of wires inside so a picture of the mod might not be helpful. Instead I did this diagram.

That is pin 2 on the IC used.
Now disclaimer, this is the best estimate on what I did based on what I can see. Make sure you test with ohmeter first. I didn't show where I got select / start from but I pulled it from the other 74HC157. I may have to work on this controller in the future when I will try and add those pinouts. But basically if you are doing this work then you can use an ohmeter and figure out where they go. Essentially you have a 2nd SPDT that swithces between Run / Select. There isn't trace cut needed on those ones.

Thanks for taking the time to post the mod info. Looks pretty simple to do. Where did you get your switches if you don't mind me asking? Kind of hard to see in the vid but they look nice, low profile and inconspicuous.

From eBay the link no longer pulls up the seller. But they are TINY and I wanted to find small ones to make it very unnoticeable.
