Is your copy of Dungeon Explorer cold? Do you have a cardboard fetish (nullity)? Do you just want some free crap to flip on ebay like the dirty, stinking, leach you are? Well you are in luck! I happen to have the very box for the copy of Dungeon Explorer that I purchased in 1990 up for grabs. Why would I part with such an important sentimental item? Well, let me tell you: This box sat in my moms attic for about two decades underneath a mixture of old encyclopedias, GI Joes, and Lego. Needless to say it's far from pristine so I replaced it with a much nice one with no Lego marks on the side. I will also include one of my patented Hunk-o-Styrofoamâ„¢ box straightener outer thingy to help keep it's shape while you caress it gently by the fire on a cold and lonely night.

and i still remember holding that box in my hands as a kid... wondering if that game would be good
but that was the only one i could afford thanks to the seller at the video game store :)
how could i forget about that box...
it might be a damn ugly cover but beautifull memories go hand in hand with it
i dont have that box anymore sadly. but i sure kept the game ;)
so i'd like to be in as well if i may

Count me in please, I wouldn't mind having something to house my copy.

A friend of mine who draws for marvel made a comment about the Dungeon Explorer cover art once. He compared it to a Spanish painter, and I couldn't recall what the guy's name was. I asked me friend and even linked him to a picture of the image and he said "No idea. Perhaps I was referring to obscure Spanish painter Picasso?" I'm willing to believe that I'm being trolled on this point because Picasso can't be obscure what with how I've actually heard of the guy.
Anyway, please enter me in this raffle so that my Dungeon Explorer copy may once again be complete

Sign me up so that like the bird I may flip it.
-
Sign me up, I want this to keep, not sell!

Ha!
All of my TG-16 boxes are sitting in a box in my parent's house, too.
I'm a 40 year old man and I still have stuff at my parent's house!
I just realized how ridiculous this sounds.
Back on topic: I have likened the cover art to the sort of painting a coffee shop should have. At least, the sort of coffee shop that I would love to go to.

The Dungeon Explorer art does seem to get a lot of flak, but I've always thought it to be one of the best and most interesting on the system. It definitely brings more of a high brow style to what was typically a low brow art form in video games. Cubist body shapes that slowly delineate the further they get into the horizon, it seems to fit perfectly with the genre of role-playing, since you initially have such fine control over your character but as the journey progresses the options and possibilities seem endless.
I've yet to play this game, although it is one I continue to try and purchase. I have the SEGA CD version, but I'm told that the TG-16 version is the one to play. I hope to get the game soon, but I'd love to win the box and have that classy art displayed prominently in my gaming room. Sign me up, and thanks so much for offering it up (and with a great story, nonetheless).
