It would be fun to keep this going... here's an easy one:

What classic adventure game started you off in the thrilling setting of "West of House"?  :-k

When dear old dad would bounce me on his knee...
He'd say, "Son, there ain't nothin' as exciting
as exposing beasts to inhumanity."

My god Lucas Arts was the shit back then.  I still haven't played them all just Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.  I must try Sam & Max.

Same here, actually. Same two point and clicks from them, too. I've always thought about getting into Sam and Max, but honestly these kinds of games are not my favorite, unless there is some nostalgia involved. So Maniac Mansion, Monkey Island, and Kings Quest were fun, but nothing I've played recently, especially recent games, ever clicked with me.

In swordfighting, what counters this:

"You fight like a dairy farmer."

"How appropriate, you fight like a cow!"

From what may be my all-time favorite point & click adventure.  :P

heck no. They were all great (until 3D spoiled the fun), but Curse had a charm that has never and will never be equaled.

Curse was part 3, wasn't it... I think you mean Secret, maybe?

Anyhoo, I think MI2 was technically better, but the first Monkey Island will always be my favorite. Nostalgia probably plays a big role in that, though.

Hard Rain.

The FMV with Christian Slater was comparable to a Hollywood film, IMHO.

Since no one gave the right answer, or any other answer, you win.
