Secret Santa is here again! Here's the rules:
1. Don't sign up if you can't or won't follow through.
2. Signups are open now until the first(ish) of November, at which time everyone'll be matched up and wish lists will be sent out to their respective Santa.
3. To make life easier for me, please fill in the form below when sending me your info. Keep in mind that the more options your Santa has, the better the chances of him (or her) finding a good deal in the time allotted.
4. Value of your gift(s) should be in the $20-30 range - real value and not bloated OMG R@R3 L@@K bin pricing.
5. Gifts should be mailed by December 10th at the latest, but don't mail it too early either. If for some reason you won't be able to meet that time frame, please let me know as early as possible so that alternate plans can be made and nobody ends up with nothing but tears and empty dreams under their festivus pole.
6. This is important and bears repeating: don't sign up if you won't follow through; you f*ck this up and I'll ban your ass.
7. The most important rule is to have fun!
For extra holiday cheer, one random Santa will be selected to receive 'coal in their stocking and another will get a copy of the Turbo Legacy Poster. If you don't want (or already have) either of these goodies, please note accordingly on the form below.
Also, let me know if you don't want to shop for me since it won't exactly be secret.

edit: it is a good idea to have a field for the console type (e.g. US Turbo, JP Duo with Arcade Card, etc.) and another for "converter/region switch yes/no". Imagine the disappointment of receiving Gunboat without being able to play it in your Duo RX. :lol:

There's two things wrong with your question: first, why would anyone specifically ask for a game they can't play; and second, why would anyone ask for Gunboat at all? :mrgreen:
If it's a multi region game, you'd certainly need to specify which one you want, and you'd need to similarly specify the format if it's something like Altered Beast. It's not a big deal - if I can't figure it out, I'll ask.

You can do it anyway you want, I always try to go with either a very long list or a something like "I want some PCE shooters." This way it's a clear surprise rather than me offering up 3 games for my santa. But you certaintly can pick 3 or 4 games on a list if you want to make sure you get something you want. In the end it's about fun and everyone getting something they want, and Necro can easily make sure the lists are able to be carried out by the santas.

I've been just providing my PCE dai wishlist for the last couple years and I think it gives whoever got me a lot of options and it's always a surprise for me :)
If you have to narrow of a wishlist it really makes it hard for whoever is shopping to find a good condition game or good priced games so keep that in mind everyone!

BIN off eBay. Seller shipped minutes later.
Took 2 minutes on my phone while on a break at work. It helps when wish lists have enough reasonable choices in them.

My Secret Santa gift is on the way! Just gotta wrap it and make it all nice for Xmas. I guess I'll mail it out on December 10th as suggested, I'm sure it will get there long before the 25th though. Then you'll just have to stare at it and wait, and let it drive you mad. I personally won't be opening mine until Xmas morning!

I've been ordering so much stuff from different places, a package from the North Pole aka Canada arrived. I had to let me girlfriend open it and peek. Fortunately it wrapped inside and was from my secret Santa. It's also the first gift to go under the tree and I got that little kid anxiety thought, thinking that Christmas is going to take forever to get here and I just want to open presents now :D

A lot of peeps have lengthy running wish lists (often using pcedaisakusen's wishlist feature) and don't narrow 'em down to just a few cheaper titles for Santa.

People also need to "not" go by surugaya or yahoo japan for prices either. This doesn't affect me, but not everyone has the setup or patience to use a proxy service, regardless of prices maybe being a bit better. Not to mention the double shipping and shipping from the land of the rising sun.

Seriously wtf is the point. Take some time and find some cheap games to put on there. I've had a Turbo Duo since launch and I still have at least 10 or so cheap ass under $15 games on my SS list each year.

Like I said, those requests are generally on lengthy lists (30+ titles) filled with games that run the gauntlet from common cheapies to teh rarez that'll run many hundreds of dollars. Such pricey titles could be winnowed out, sure, but what's the point and where do you stop the culling? I'd hate to see people not include a game because the average price on ebay is $35, 'cause Santa might have it sitting in his pile of dupes obtained in economical lots or be able to add it to a yahoo japan order for cheap.
As long as there's enough known cheap games to pick from, who gives a f*ck if there's some pie in the sky requests? Afterall, it is a wishlist.

Haha! You know, in all honesty, they might have been on my daisakusen wishlist too. I just add anything I'm interested in to that; it's mostly for me. That's why I also supplied a short list along with my Secret Santa requests, hopefully with some not too uncommon requests. I did a little ebay checking first to make sure I wasn't being too wishful! The Daisakusen list was just given as a backup if they were. I suspect most people who used that to supply a wishlist for this weren't also using it singularly for SS. And I'm sure they knew they wouldn't be getting ultra rare titles they had on there, but hey, like you said, who knows? Why not just throw whatever on there, see what you get. I don't have (easy) access to Yahoo Auctions Japan (well, I did one trade through it years ago through Gaming Age Forums) nor do I have a stockpile of once cheap dupes, but someone out there does.

I always suffix my PCEFX wishlist with plenty of cheap shit options - if all else fails, scrape my Amazon wishlist! It's actually nice to get surprised.
Though I have had a few "WTF" moments with my Santa partners in the past...like getting a list of 5 games that run $100+ each. C'mon man!

I will hopefully have a chance to obey after we get through our morning here, which starts pretty late since we're all adults. Well, except for the two young animals in the house, one of which who will insist on being up early.
Y'know, I don't have kids, but this year I still found myself assembling Xmas presents after bedtime..little dog steps so she can more easily launch herself onto the couch. No complaints, it was easy - I just found it amusing.

Merry Christmas! Holy cow Santa, thank you so much. Cosmic Fantasy is a game I've been wanting to grab for awhile. The game that has seen the most play time so far is Kunio Kun Soccer. I was up visiting my girlfriends parents on Christmas eve and on the drive back today I was dying to get into the house and open the gift. I have Star Soldier and Starship Hector and have played Super Star Soldier back in the day and really liked it, I never played got to play Final Soldier.
I will now spend Christmas trying to finish these! Thank you so much it may be Christmas 2015 but tonight its the 90's and Earth is under attack from aliens, time to be a hero :)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to cracking into it. It was a pleasant surprise to get that one from Santa this year! I collect horror games (and play them too of course, it's just one of my primary genres of interest is what I mean) so I'm very happy I can enjoy it and the other games too. I also love Turn Based Strategy games and loved the original Vasteel when I had it, so Vasteel 2 was another slam dunk. And finally I have reunited with Dungeon Explorer! Between that and the bootie of DE2, I am super stoked and totally have more games than I know what to do with at the moment, but they're all gonna get played eventually!
So I noticed many of you remained anonymous on your Secret Santa gifts, while I just went ahead and put my forum name on the From: label... I figured when you exchange gifts in person, you find out who you got then (when they hand it to you) - at least that's how my friends and I have always done it. I hope I didn't spoil the mystery!

Well I've had a really busy holiday with multiple car troubles and a relative in and out of the hospital, but my gifts this year were great.
No picture for now but I got Energy, Wonder Momo, and Gomola Speed. They've all been a blast to play and I wish I had more time to play them. Thanks again Punki!

Not only that, when I received my TG-16 Xmas 1989, the game I got alongside it was Alien Crush, so I have some pretty mad Xmas nostalgia for it. It's a great game, I hope you enjoy it. And the stickers too! Figured I'd throw in another weird piece of 80's nostalgia for ya. :)
