Title: How do you bypass the TurboDuo CD door sensor
Post by: K-2 on October 11, 2015, 05:02:42 AM
Hi gang,

So over the weekend I recapped my US TurboDuo and all looks to be in order except one foul up I did which was to melt the switch that tells the system the cd door is closed with my hot air station  :-#

So my question is, how would I permanently bypass that switch? Can I bridge the solder points on the underside? If so, which way?

Appreciate the help

I believe the switch is normally open until pressed at which point it is closed so you should be able to just bridge the solder joints on the bottom.  Just be careful opening the lid while a disc is still spinning.  Run/Select are your friend :)

You could attach your own momentary switch
