Title: turbografx cd not spinning

yeah. so i got the gear finally put the gear back in place and everything so now the laser moves but the disc still doesn't spin? is it the way i'm putting the ribbons what could be the cause for the disc not spinning?

The larger ribbon cable should be inserted with the contacts facing outwards away from the center of the drive.

also if you have a 225 laser the big ribbon must be centered

i'm confused what do you mean the position of the ribbon and i tried inserting the ribbon both ways and still not spinning is that the only reason for why it doesn't spin the disc?

Of course there could be other reasons. Maybe a broken wire to the CD lens stop sensor, broken CD lens/laser, torn ribbon cable for the lens, bad caps, bad chip, and or traces on the motherboard etc...
