Title: F/S Recapped Turbo Duo ***SOLD***
Post by: Desh on October 28, 2015, 01:02:22 PM
I have available for sale a U.S. Turbo Duo.  Comes with original controller, power supply and A/V cables.  I have replaced all capacitors, cleaned and lubricated the laser drive and adjusted the pots.  I have played multiple games (including CD-R's) for extended periods of time and this console works perfectly.

This example is overall in good physical condition.  The only blemish is on the area above the Hucard slot  where someone decided it was a good spot to have tape racing stripes.

Price is $325.00 plus shipping.

I recognize this one from eBay a few weeks ago.  Good job cleaning it up and recycling it back into the TG-16 community at a fair price.  Best of luck.

Yeah I like saving old hardware when I can.  I got it off ebay accidentally.  I was watching this auction and figured I'd snag it if it went for less than $200.  It also came with a loose broken TG16 I was hoping to rehab for my son.  Thanks to the shittyness of the new ebay app my bid of $180.00 went through as $18,000.  Needless to say I was forced to pay much more than I wanted.

Whoa, well good work regardless.

The only thing missing is a region switch.

While this indeed sucks, I hope in hindsight you can look on this mishap with some sense of humor. Just imagine if you had went against a truly dedicated bidder...

Jason, maybe you can work something out with him?  Maybe make two payments.  Lots of these guys will work with you.

Damn, that's a deal and a half. If I hadn't just worked out a trade for a PCE Duo I'd probably snatch it.

You did a great job with that tape that was on there. I too remember seeing this on ebay a while back. Great condition overall honestly, doesn't look like there is any huge gashes or anything crazy.

Really nice job with this. If I didn't already have two I would want this. Lucky person to pick this up.

That's really cool of you to do.  I often fear that the ravages of time are going to eventually see a lot of these older systems buried in landfills or completely destroyed from sitting in someone's basement.  It's good to know that there are people going through the trouble of keeping these these things alive for future generations to enjoy.
