Title: Duo-r RGB connections
Post by: Vimtoman on November 02, 2015, 04:28:22 AM
Are there any other position where I can connect the RGB wires other than directly on the HUC6260.

not on a duo, as the chip pins are unused on the board

I believe the only location to connect to RGB on the PCB is at the chip itself.

Although I have not poked around on the board with a continuity tester to see if they did go anywhere else.

Do you need advice on lifting the legs?

I sanded down a bobby pin using a dremel cutting disk so that it was really fine.
They're usually made of reaaaally tough metal, so they work well to gently jiggle a heated leg, even when thin.

Thanks for the tip.
I would be soldering directly to the pcb/pin.
Lifting the leg would only risk breaking the pin off the IC.

How did you get on with the BVM shearing?
