Title: So my gamebit's came in today...
Post by: Dicer on December 10, 2015, 08:24:09 AM
So, I tested it out by opening my white PCE, and lo an behold it had this inside...

Any idea what the scribblings say, if anything?

It says:
"If you're reading this you're stupid"

I can't read it, but it seems you can, so what's that say?

Yeah and very hard to read if it's supposed to be anything writtern.
Some letters looks like "r" or "z" but there's no complete words.

Also it looks like there's a blank square in the middle that had parts of the scribbling before it was removed.

Here's my guess...

They are Chinese characters, most likely written down in a hurry. The missing section and the terrible penmanship make it pretty hard to read so I can't say for sure if it is in Chinese or Japanese. The pic is upside down for sure though.

I think it's Japanese.

The bit on the top looks like "2回目", which means "the second time". On the left, it looks like hiragana, either a れ or a ん. I'm guessing the former, but bad penmanship makes it difficult to say for sure. On the bottom, it looks like 有, which doesn't mean much by itself.

There is most definitely a big square missing from the middle, and without that, there's little hope of knowing what was written there.

That's funny. It didn't show up on my laptop, but it's showing up on my work computer.

It's definitely Japanese. Covell made that clear. It seems there was a square label or something in the middle and when removed, took out most of the scribblings.
