Title: WTB: Ys Book I and II
Post by: TyranusVader1980 on December 28, 2015, 07:24:23 AM
Looking to purchase a copy. Prices on eBay a bit high for my taste. Preferably a copy that is currently in Canada. Please feel free to message me if willing to sell. Thanks.

There's some good people here that I am sure will be willing to help you out.  However it's nice to make a little introduction and do some forum talking before doing a WTB thread.  Usually the outcome is better with people willing to help someone who probably isn't a flipper/gouger.

BTW welcome!  Ys is a lovely game.  You have good taste. :)

Fair enough. My name is Paul from Montreal (Hey! It rhymes). I'm 35 years old and and I have been playing all kinds of video games for more than 25 years. For the last few years, I have been collecting more and more retro games. I recently caught the PCE/TG-16 bug and I heard through the grapevine that this forum is a great source for collectors. I have a repaired PCE Duo (new caps, adjusted laser) coming in from Japan and I can't wait to contribute to this forum with my experiences using this system. Bonne journée à vous tous!

Well it's cool to see you've gotten into the turbo.  Is the Ys Book I & II you're looking for need to be sealed?

*update* I managed to order a repro copy from Turbo-Reproductions (the guy who runs it, Jodi, was great) for US$25.00 including shipping! He is based just outside of Toronto. Thanks for your offer anyways geise  :D

Well if you're happy with a repro.  I never made an offer, but was just curious if it had to be sealed.

Yes, you're right about not making an offer. My bad. I was just content with finding a copy at a reasonable price. To answer your question, it's not a big deal for me whether the game is sealed or not. Thanks for answering so quickly!

kinda -
it's a cd-r, yes, but he does some really top notch printing to go with it.
is it worth $25? not to me.
but is it a nice option? i think so, since he went to the trouble of making up translated manuals and such for certain games.
