I made it through two paragraphs before yawning and aborting the mission.

Abridged version:
Michael Jackson helped with the music in Sonic 3 but chose to be unaccredited for obvious reasons...
There better?

Everybody knew this already

So having Right Said Fred do the TV advert was actually an act of misdirection?
Brilliant!

Not the best piece of journalism, but still a good story.
I'm not going to lie: I think Sonic 3 is the best 2D platformer ever made, and I think it has one of the best soundtracks of any game ever.
I also like Michael Jackson and would KILL to hear some of the original tapes of these songs. Especially Hydrocity, and especially Act 2. If Jackson actually wrote those, then they're my favorite Michael Jackson songs.

Sonic 3 does have an awesome soundtrack. Definitely one of my favs on the Genesis. At PRGE 2 years ago I did ask Al Nielsen about the rumor that MJ helped do the soundtrack to Sonic 3 and he gave me the typical politician response: "I can't neither deny nor confirm he had a hand in Sonic 3." Hmmmm...
