Title: TurboGrafx 16 CD Combo Problem (need help!)

i was wondering if someone could help me with a problem i have with my turbo cd combo. The CD part seems to be broken, the CD part once it has power does not stop spinning a disc (even when the tray is open it still spins till the cd flys out of it) And there is no light on the LED display. I have tried the docking station and stand alone same results. (no its not the gears )

Also i have a turbo duo with sound issues (plays sound effects no music)
(Apparently all caps as been replaced already )

Are you using the correct AC adapter for the CD part?

I believe besides the gears these also have issues with caps so you may want to check those to make sure they are not leaking.

When its in the docking station i am using the official AC that came with the combo
WHen its by itself im using a 3rd party AC that i use for my sega gen model 1

Does this happen even without hitting any buttons on the CD drive?

If so you should get a hold of thesteve to look at your CD drive. Sounds like a motherboard bad chip or trace issue of some sort to me.

A bad lens wouldn't make the disc continue to spin after the drive has been opened.

Yes i dont push anything and it just starts randomly spinning, spins with or without the drive tray closed
