Title: TG16 with White Screen - broken Board - Can i fix it?
Post by: spawnshop on February 13, 2016, 01:55:46 PM
So i picked up a TG16 unit, untested.
Turned it on, and white screen.   On all games.

Well, after opening it up, it seems it had already been open.    The one thing i did notice is that the main board is cracked on the back left corner, and some of the traces were severed.
I patched them with wires, and also replaced the voltage regulator just in case.
But still, white screen.

I will post some pics when i can, but anyone have any ideas?   Could i have burned something out by turning the system on with severed traces?
Anyone know where i can find a schematic for the main board to repair the traces?

Or do i just call this DOA and use it for parts?

I'm sure it's fixable by someone like Steve, but I can't say whether or not you have the required skill set.
