Title: For the collector that has ALMOST everything...
Post by: Dicer on March 01, 2016, 08:50:16 AM
I have here, photo prints straight from T.T.I. they were sent to me when I did my fanzine. I wasn't sure if there would be interest in them, but I took some photos to see. Sorry for the shitty quality and blur, I have shitty hands and a crappy camera on my phone. If anyone is interested in these, I can get better photos and I'd be interested in trading for something novel and obey related as well.

Ooooo that CF2 Van photo is pretty cool! And so is the GoT one too.

I'm sort of interested in that CF2 one, but don't have much to trade. Maybe nullity will buy the whole lot and dish some stuff out after he scans it al

How big are those?  They look pretty sweet, it is cool they did that for you.  Did you get all at once, or were they sent to you in waves?

Oooo, those're pretty.  I've nothing to trade (unless you want a loose Keith huey), but please keep the family together.

They are about 3.5x5"
They came together, I had another set but I have no idea where it went off to.

I will say the folks that ran the T.T.I. days were top notch, always friendly and even hooked me up to talk to Vic Ireland a few times which was a huge f*cking deal to me, if only they ran the US from day one I know things would have turned out brighter.

Wow, those are fantastic! They would look awesome framed and hanging on a wall. Unfortunately I don't have much to trade unless you want TZD and Club Duo catalogues.

I would be interested in the Lords of Thunder ones, to get them framed.

But not sure what I could offer as trade bait though and also I'm in the UK.

Maybe list what sort of Obey stuff you're looking for and I'll look through what I got to see if I've got anything that matches.

Ok, I would love for someone to see if these screenshots match the ones used in TurboPlay, VG&CE, EGM, Gamepro, etc.

:)

Man, I'd love to see these in person. I assume they were made with one of those hood things and an SLR, should be able to see all sorts of video noise in there. They are very vibrant for the time, probably because they haven't seen the one or two generational quality losses they went through to be put on a box or in a magazine.

Japanese mags and many games had screenshots photographed off of RGB monitors, these might have been shot that way as well. Would have been very cool bitd.

I would like to hang the Zonk ones on my man cave wall, but no one knows what to offer for such things?

Since no one has any idea what to offer, I'm not gonna sell them as OMG THE RAREZ, tell me what ones you want, offer me a game or some game related knick knack or something oddball and I might bite...

Or someone can have the lot for Magical Chase complete...

WAIT!!!!!

The most obvious question has not been asked:

WHERE ARE YOUR FANZINES????!!!

Even if you are embarrassed by the contents, you must share them with us.

Or me.

I have embarrassing stuff from my past to offer in trade.

I'm not totally sure, but I will be tossing them in the scanner tomorrow for better viewing, I do have a pending offer on the lot, but I will at least get them scanned for the community first.

Do you need temporary web-space? I have a server I could host them for the time being. Probably should get a site that's more PCE focused for long-term use, but I don't mind sharing what I have if you need.

DUO DIMENSIONS FANZINE
http://archives.tg-16.com/MISC/duodimensions.pdf

I would have loved reading/seeing this back in the day!

The only video game fanzine I ever picked up was from a local NJ shop...Digital Press #1 had a Blazing Lazers mini-review...sadly, TG-16 did not get much coverage in the other scattered issues that I picked up.

Thanks for sharing (I don't know how I missed this when you initially posted it...I must have been MIA).

I just tried to download the files and it asked for a decryption key. Apparently these files are classified.

Yes, those are great!  I would be interested in either Zonk, GOT or LOT if they haven't been nabbed already.  Are you interested in/missing copies of Turbo Play/Turbo Force/Duo World?  I have dupes of a couple issues, or I am sure I could find a game you are looking for.
