Title: Bazaru de Gozaru
Post by: poponon on March 13, 2016, 09:44:34 AM
Just finished what i assumed to be the last stage in this game (8-10). What a awesome game, I'm surprised it's not more suggested or talked about even. Great music and graphics, and fun and challenging gameplay if you try to collect all the moneybags. The control of the monkey feels really precise as well. Really charming game, i'd put it up with gekisha boy as some of the best unique games for the system.
I just wanted to ask anyone who has played before if the game just ends after 8-10? There was no credit reel or anything so It feels like I'm missing something.
I saw this link to a review posted in an older thread but I can't seem to access it : http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=2047.msg50957#msg5095
Also seems like it had a pretty significant release in japan with alot of extra goodies and plushies of the awesome main character. I mean look at this stuff:

thoughts on the game?

He's NEC's mascot, that's why all that other stuff exists, that's why this game exists. The monkey mainly sells copiers. Few have played this game.
I have though. I love it. I got stuck, so I don't know the answer to your question. I'm not sure how far I got.
I suppose the reason it doesn't get talked about much here is that it's hundreds of dollars and most of us have only just switched to channel flipping piracy on flash cards as the standard method of playing PCE and this is a CD. Give it another year.

I've cleared this game a couple of years ago and it's great. Some of the levels are tricky and funny at the same time.
It's a shame it's so expensive at the moment.

oh that explains the 2015 calendars i was coming across when looking the game up. if you end up firing up the game and are still stuck i could try giving some hints without giving away the puzzles.

blank cds or emulation is pretty cheap though. Do you remember the end of the game? I'm trying to figure out if I have actually beaten it after clearing 8-10 or if there are some more things to do before reaching the credit roll.

There are ending credits: clicky (http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=12268.msg256742#msg256742). I don't recall doing anything special to trigger 'em.... maybe make sure you've bought one of each type of furnishing for you home and go look at it.
If anyone is stuck, there's a guide in that post too.

Good luck!
In the mean time, allow me to whore out entertain you with my awesome bazzy swag:
Rolfee! Such a dirty hand gesture, you naughty girl.
LOL!
I was looking through some PC Engine Fan mags around the time the PC-FX came out and you can tell they are hyping the Rolfee train. Maybe they felt their lack of mascot was a real detractor since by that point Nintendo had Mario and SEGA had Sonic.

Nope. They didn't feel that way, that would be insane. They probably felt they needed any software they could possibly et their hands on, anything at all, and its easier to draw manga than it is to make a game so...Rolfee.

how do complete stage 4-9 ? >__>
It's the spooky levels but this one requires you to complete the stage in 4 moves and the exit is basically on the top above where you start and the opposite end of the stage there is a spring....
