Title: Pure collectard gold
Post by: Black Tiger on April 05, 2016, 03:50:03 AM
I know that too many people post links without descriptions, but trust me, this one is worth seeing for yourself.

Not surprising, given the company, the product and their target customers. But it's still just an ultra limited edition bootleg frankenstein.

I think it would be absolutely hilarious if those things didn't actually work because of the conductive surface of the thing causing a short somewhere.

They should have plated the Zelda carts too. I would have bought one if they had...

Brilliant!  We need more solid gold plated gaming items in our life!

Considering I posted a thread regarding the system previously I'll throw my two cents in.

This is the most silliest thing ever.  Oddly they are not the first as you can find PS4/3 and XBONE/360s plated in gold as well.

I do not find this to be something I would ever buy. Honestly if I had $5k to burn I'd probably buy a first appearance of spider man.

However, in full disclosure I did buy and recived a second batch release of a red Analouge NT with the HDMI daughter board.

I have been playing with it since receiving it two weeks ago and really enjoy it. At this time my only gripe about it is how ridiculous clean the connectors in the game cartridges have to be. Any speech of grim or dirt and it simply will not be read. I mean mirror finish to these PCB connectors it seems.

Granted I am sure you post is in jest. I was honestly surprised they didn't complete the look with a gold plated Zelda cart.

Frosted a gold plated NES Cart might cause the system to short for all I know. I'd like to say no? It wouldn't as the 72 pin connector has plastic which could insulate any possible electrical charge passing from the cartridge to the system but I am far from being a go to subject matter expert on anything electronic or mechanical.
