Title: Spenoza Jr.
Post by: spenoza on May 02, 2016, 03:15:00 PM
Just wanted to give folks a heads-up. One of the reasons I have been posting very little lately is that I bought a house and my wife is now pregnant with our son-to-be (he's still working on the human part, as he looks more alien parasite-esque ATM). So we're both exhausted, because houses are hard and so is being pregnant (and being married to pregnant).

But yeah. I still read, I just haven't had much time or energy for contribution, lately. I still intend to go to Origins and CCAG this summer, so maybe I'll see someone somewhere.

Amen to this. Good luck, been there done that, twice. In fact it's 4am and my one year old has been up moaning for no reason for an hour. Luckily, this is the exception rather than the rule.
You'll love it.

It gets better man, but it will get worse first.  The first 3 months of dealing with a human baby are excruciating.

I've got my second on the way in June so I feel your pain, currently I'm working on moving my game room out and setting up the baby room for #2.

Contratulations!

I'm in a similar situation, but have been too busy to make quality posts for a long time already.

Congrats!  I have been going to CCAG for a few years now.  I'll be going again this year so maybe our paths will cross.  I didn't realize you were in the Cleveland area.  I'm in Toledo so it's nice to see some fellow Ohioans on here.

I have three kids.

No free time.

I regularly fall asleep whilst reading this forum.

Kids are overrated.

Enjoy!

How close in age are yours?  I have a 5 year old, a 4 year old and a 1 year old.  Not sure how I'm not an alcoholic or been a missing person on Unsolved Mysteries yet.

Thanks for the well-wishes and condolences. This year is the year of change, and as long as it doesn't mean I don't ever play any games, I'm OK with it. Even with the house baby.

Jahahajajaha.

Yup.

SRSLY.

12 year old daughter 6th grade.

Twin 5 year olds (boy & girl).

1 cat (at one point in last 20 years I had six cats—all adopted/strays).

Sadly, I might be adopting 2 additional cats in upcoming month because owner is irresponsible and doesn't want them anymore.

Cats are better than kids, IMHO.

WILL I EVER HAVE A SIMPLE LIFE?

All my cats have lived 16-19 years.

You better say hi to me, or I'll vote for Trump.

With an ultimatum like that, I'll consider it my civic duty!

I haven't failed to say hello and chit chat a bit any time I've gone so far. But I've also missed it twice altogether because of bad timing with other plans or events.

Congrats! And condolences! :D  A great many good things lie ahead!  Free time is not one of them.
Truth!  Our situation last year was similar, but we already had our baby while looking for a new house.  It will be an amazing joy and awesome,  but also frustrating.  It all works out and will be a nice change in life.  Like Xele said the 3 month transition is hard, but once that child sleeps through the night you'll be in a better situation...till the kiddo starts walking.   Congrats on everything though.
