Title: Abused TG-16 pad, ideas?
Post by: ifkz on May 30, 2016, 04:17:31 PM
While digging around in the backroom of my favorite local game outlet, I came across a TurboPad that hooks up to a stock TG-16 but is missing the metal pin part.  Are there replacement cables for these to make it work again, or with a Duo?  I could not just throw it away, though it does look a little like a dog's chew toy.

There are not any plug and play replacement cables for use with the TG16. So if you wanted to use with a US TG16 you would have to manually solder in your own replacement cable.

However, if you want to use it with a JP pc engine you can get one of these as long as the white connector looks exactly the same. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pc-engine-controller-cable-for-Pc-Engine-Turbo-Grafx-controller-pad-Brand-New-/121976226664?hash=item1c66598368:g:2QcAAOSwQJhUcK1G

It could be parted out, donating its rubber bits to a worn out controller and its pcb to a joy stick build.

$15 to get this back in action as a Duo controller sounds like a pretty good deal to me!  Thanks Keith and Necro!
