Yeah that show blows ass, they should have never brought it back. The first seasons were good but these new episodes are so god-awful not funny it's painful to watch. That American Dad show is shit too, f*ck all these stupid Simpsons rip off cartoons.

I'm glad I don't make decisions based on your opinions... :D :P

I haven't watch family guy in a while so dunno.
Heck still i wish fox would kill off the, Simpson that show hasn't been funny to me since the late 90's :P

I haven't seen much of the newer episodes but I thought the few that I have seen I thought were just as good as the older ones. I like to say I hate Family Guy, but I really do find it funny personally to be honest. Now I did watch the first episode of American Dad and thought that show was terrible! I know it's probably unfair to judge a show by it's pilot episode, but the other episodes are going to have to be a helluva lot better to make me interested.
Hopefully the return of Futurama in 2008 (?) is still just as good as it's original run. Then again I thought the last season of Futurama was kind of stupid.

The Simpsons don't do it for me anymore. I do looove Futurama though. The Venture Bros. is awesome too.
The Family Guy ranges from decent to funny at times - like the episode with Jesus in the Kill Bill parody. Jesus' arch enemy isn't the Devil - it's Santa Claus :D

I, in general, hate the new Family Guy material. The episode where Stewie blasted Brian's kneecaps kind of did it in for me.
I think American Dad is good, but I don't think I'd ever buy a DVD. It certainly doesn't come anywhere near The Venture Bros. quality, at least. Still, good for some laughs here and there, and doesn't seem as lame to me.
The Simpsons... god, man. I grew up with these characters. I can remember the Tracy ullman shorts, as well as the first few seasons. It's weird to not like it anymore, but they've just ran out of fuel. How can we hurt Homer this week?!?

Family Guy is my favorite tv-show after Lost, Invasion and Twin Peaks. I think it gets better with every episode.
I can definitely understand that people do not like it. In fact, I'm very surprised that the show is so popular. I don't think people get the humor in Family Guy. I do, and I love it (actually, it isn't even crazy enough for me, but it works).
This pretty much sums up my sense of humor:

Family Guy is too gross for my own. I liked the first season or 2, but, it got worse & uneccessary. As for Simpsons, I've calculated the fall of the Simpsons to be around 2002. I'd 2001 was the last decent year of Simpsons. Even then, they're not as funny as earlier episodes in the 90's.

I hate The Simpsons personally.

I don't like how the new episodes have pretty much given up on real stories, really are now just a string of gags and now throw in pop culture refferences as gags, but without any kind of a real joke, even when it would be so easy to play off of.
I still watch them and do get entertainment value from them, but it's a different kind of show now(but not as good).
I like American Dad overall, but you have to keep up with it and need to know the characters well enough to get all the jokes, so if you just jump into it one night, I understand how little sense it must make.
Same with Arrested Development. I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did. "Need I remind you that I'm not just a therapist, but I'm also a licensed analyst. I'm the world's only analrapist!"

I agree, I like The Family Guy alot,I never have any complaints about it,or American Dad or Futurama. I like all 3 of them, and I typically can't stand The Simpsons, nor have I been able to since 1991.
Scratch that,I didn't even like the Simpsons when they first aired on that Tracy Ullman show.
I also like Wonder Showzen, yet hated the Horse Apples crap, the one episode dedicated to it completely was too much. I loved Robot Chicken Season 1,but Season 2 has gone down hill, much less interesting.
Twin Peaks, you gotta love Lynch. About anything Lynch is good. Lost Highway and Blue Velvet being his tops in my books, and Fire Walk With Me a close second movie wise. The Twin Peaks series was great, and never got the respect it diserved.

Family Guy season one was pretty damn weak in my opinion. However, the writing got phenomenally good in the second and third seasons and those are the only seasons I ever watch.
The Simpsons: Dear lord, what the hell happened? When I compare the latest seasons with the older seasons in frequent syndication on the CBC Canadian channel, the differences are like night and day. The old seasons had excellent writing and spot on gags. The new seasons are now flavour of the week depending on the pop culture gag. It's a bad way to do a show and the novely wears off quick. Why can't they just retire the series with grace already?
