Title: Got a weird Turbo Grafx controller...
Post by: Drummer4261900 on July 25, 2016, 09:39:32 AM
Got a weird Turbo Grafx controller.  The back button is the run button,  the left button is the 2 button, the up is the 1 button, and the right button is still the right button.  The actual 1, 2, Select and run do nothing.

Is there any way to fix it?

Any help would be great.

Sounds like someone soldered all the wires up incorrectly.

Or replaced the cable backwards or with a different style one.
I vaguely remember there was one board connector that you had to re-arrange the connections on....

could be a bad trace on the controller pcb too.  I had a pc engine that was doing something similar.  it had a pushed in pin on the controller port of the console so it was not making contact.

1. Disassemble.
2. Wash rubbery nibs thoroughly with dish soap.
3. Scrub contacts on the board with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swab.
4. Exorcise demons with Bible, cross, and holy water.
5. Sacrifice a virgin pig to the Donald Trump.
6. Reassemble.
7. List on eBay as RARE and UNTESTED.
8. Hand it to unloved friends when playing Bomberman's multiplayer mode. Instant win.
