What is with some YouTubers? They get a certain amount of followers and they think there celebrities. Give your head a shake most to all people have not even heard of you. hugs

It's a cliché, but it's true:
No one is immune to their own egos.
YouTube is, for many, a popularity contest.
Once you hear a person talking about using analytics and "finding the formula" for increasing viewership, increasing time a person sticks with a video, etc etc etc...
Growing the audience....
Well, you can't get more corporate than that.
My 2cents.
:)
Passion/artistic expression should be the raison d'ĂȘtre...it should should drive the very creation of videos.
Many folks have it backwards, though, and simply adopt a formula that results in the the greatest "growth" of ___________ metric.

I just play games record the footage and then upload. My channel is nothing great but every once in a while i end up with a douchebag on my channel talking trash. I rarely upload anything now anyway. What I do now is stream to twitch and I'm terrible at it.

Ya'll jealous and be hattin' on my YT celeb status. It's ok, scro... We can't all have 21 subscribers like DoxPhile YT chan! Work hard son, one day you might be as cool as me. Probably not, but maybe. I don't know.
Word! It's not you, haters just gonna hate, that's how it goes... ;)

I can't believe people don't send me free stuff and pay my way to conventions due to the 2k plus people worldwide that watch our once a year videos. It's complete bullshit. Also, still waiting on the TLC, Discovery or History channel contracts to come in.
P.S. Jen of Game Sack fame even did some artwork for our newest intro... that alone should be worth like 10k more subscribers right?
Sparky, I know what you're saying though. There are some terrible channels that have a lot of viewership and said "celebs" really think they're hot shit. On the flip side there are plenty of youtube "celebs" that are cool and normal.

People like that bother me for multiple reasons. Firstly, it would be awesome if famous people (actual famous people) wouldn't act like they're better than anyone else just because they're famous. Of course, they wouldn't act like that if people didn't treat them that way.
Secondly, there are VERY FEW people (if any) on YouTube who are actually, legitimately famous. Like "can't go to the grocery store without being recognized" famous. I have a hard time believing that if PewDiePie or Jenna Marbles (only two YT e-celebs I can think of) walked into my local grocery store, anyone would know who they were. I mean, maybe. But if f*ckin' George Clooney walked up in that bitch, most people would know who he was. PewDiePie or Marbles might luck out of someone from their target demographic was in there.

What is with some YouTubers?
The correct term is tubetards.
