I was thumbing through my magazines again and came across this little section in PCE Fan...
Battle Jungler

This game was supposedly only shown at Akihabara Laox store in '93 as part of a Konami PCE Festival there. I've seen this game mentioned on some unreleased lists, but never seen pics or had any idea what it was. The clip says this was a remake of Konami's old arcade game, Jungler, and supported 5 players (HuCard). It doesn't seem like this game was ever slated for release unfortunately. I'm guessing it was playable at the event.

Edit: Fixed broken link. Thanks to SuperPlay for mirroring the pictures!

Looks cute; too bad they never did anything more with it.
-
Thank you for sharing.
Now....I'm sure we will never play it.
-
thanks for sharing. Looks neat.

nice find!

Neat find. If it is playable then at least that means a proto of some sort existed.
-
Its always interesting to see unreleased games, even though we'll never be able to play them. Thanks for posting.

Nice find, thanks for sharing this.

Just for posting this thread the value on that prototype, which logically does exist, just shot up from $100 to $75,000,000.65
Now go into the forum's one and only corner and think about what you just did. Go on now! [-X
...thanks for sharing. :)

I think the value of the proto was already pretty high ;)
The thing is that when I read the article, I understand that it's not a proto, as it was playable and there was a contest (taikai). Some people actually have played this game.
