Title: Super CDROM2 Unit doesn't spin the disk
Post by: Miralok on November 10, 2016, 03:18:12 PM
Hi!
I have bought a faulty Super CD-ROM2. It worked, but there was no sound. I replaced all the capacitors. Now the sound is, but CD-ROM doesn't spin the disk. What i must to check to fix it? Which capacitors are used to spin the disk? I think one of them is defective.

Thank you!

Sounds like there were traces damaged during the recap. Check the traces especially around the higher value capacitors.

Ok, I'll try it, thank you.
But now I'm afraid that I can not fix it yourself. Is there some diagram for the Super CD-ROM2?
