This isn't quite the same as it's an AI designed to play one game rather than learn to beat video games in general, but I always liked the street fighter antics of a bot that plays online named Tool Assisted.

weird, kinda like teaching a computer how to beat a computer, so now it can be "the computer". That coffee was strong.
