Title: Help me revive this Turbo Duo
Post by: vacantrain on May 09, 2017, 05:05:57 AM
Hi guys, I bought a junk Japanese Turbo Duo, it arrived DOA as expected.  So far I have completed a cap kit and resoldered one of the trim pots on the main board which got connected. Still no power.

The fuse and big diode on the side are fine, the 7805's are outputting 5V.  Question:  the AC adaptor  connects to the jack, and then goes through a small coil on the power board, tgen out comes a black, red, and brown wire.  What voltage is the brown wire supposed to be at, because I read zero VDC?

Any other ideas where to look would be helpful, there's no other visible trace problems or scorched components or pins that I can see yet.  Thanks guys!

Is there no power or does the system turn on to a solid color screen?

Blowing out the fuse is usually a leaky capacitor. Almost always the 1000uf cap. Did you change them yet?
