I'm looking to build my own 6 button pad to put inside an arcade stick, and I need technical info...
There's some here:

But it's confusing as heck when you get to the 6-button section. Can anyone decipher it and provide more concise information?

Are you making your own box but using the pad's electronics? If so, why not just trace the leads on the pad's IC to find out what pin is for what button?

Well, I don't happen to have one on me right now... I'm sure some forum user has intricate knowledge of the hardware though.

Yeah, that is pretty confusing. :? A schematic would help GREATLY here...I wonder why they didn't make one?

I believe you need the proper chip to poll the extra buttons. So basically you're gonna need an existing pad anyway and just do what Odonadon said. It really is the best way.
