Hmm...maybe it's going to be a $600 HD Atari in the vein of Analouge. There's not much info yet.

Is there not already an FPGA Atari out there? I think it could be that or some shitty plug in play box.

If it's a Go computer, all right, sounds cool. If it has anything to do with video games that had Atari written on them then it can take a flying f*ck at the moon.

Probably just emulates pre-Jaguar Atari consoles, with a selection of built-in roms for each format and the ability to buy new roms digitally from a store.

There's a guy on AtariAge claiming to know what this is but he's not telling. He does say that it has nothing to do with the old Atari games and consoles.

Hasnt Atari been relegated to nothing but a licensing model now?  I think anybody can just license the name and make whatever they want at this point?

My guess is that it is a subscription game service like Netflix for smart tvs and Rokus....
