Title: Won a case against lukie games
Post by: Mas on July 18, 2017, 10:23:36 AM
Last month I sold a lot of ps2 games and memory cards and controllers etc. They received it on june 12 and I received positive feedback from them a month ago.

Last week they filed a claim saying they only got four games and that there was a hole in the package. I called ebay on it and they told me that there was no case. so they went to paypal and filed a claim.

After calling paypal and explaining my story and continuous websites of people getting the same treatment with lukie games and having them file claims and winning the claims saying they only got a couple of games or no packages at all to only sell on their website, today I got enough evidence to win the case and was notified that they are going to probably loose their paypal account.

I feel good about it because it has happened to me three times with them. The first time they got a bunch of first party n64 games and they said they never got the package. I didn't know about tracking at the time and it was my lost so 1st time I learned my lesson.
Lost 163.00

Second time was a ton of nes titles. They said they never got the package but I told them the tracking and they said they only got half of the games and I had to dish out 100.00. I lost the claim. After that I blocked them.

Year goes by and they bought a couple things, I don't know how but things were well. Then they buy a lot of ps2 and xbox 360 games and they filed a claim on paypal and not ebay and say they only got half and shipped me back only the sports games on the ps2 and the rest of the box was empty. I did win that case but only half payment.

This time was it. I blocked them again, Called ebay and paypal and grabbed as much evidence of horrible business practices that they perform. From what i was told they are going to lose thier paypal account because of their past history of doing this and getting thier money back.  They are over priced and they treat people like garbage. I hope they learn their lesson. Please feel free to share your stories about lukie games and or other people who has robbed you thru ebay or paypal.

Guess we'll find out if Lukie on ebay goes out. Lukie won too many of my auctions under several different accounts. I don't know how ebay didn't take action over that, but whatever. They can't buy my forum items for sale.

if they keep pulling this scam, eventually they will lose thei accounts.  they have bought a shit ton from me under different names, but the mailing address is always "lukiegames"...blah blah blah, florida.  i never had any problems with them after the sales, but they prob do get banned from sellers so they just create more accounts

hate them.

Nah.  It's not very well written or compelling, and the poor grammar and punctuation would drive your editor to drink.

There is your f*cking proof

That's not proof of anything..... other than that you flip a lot of stuff and not just as a consequence of recent unemployment.

Besides, I have bought once or twice from Lukiegames. First time I ordered something, the German Post misplaced the customs notification slip, so the parcel was returned straight back to Florida after being held at the customs office for some weeks and nobody to pick it up. Bummer! Still, I got my money back from Lukiegames, no worries whatsoever. Must have been in 2013, I think, too bad Ebay doesn't keep track of older listings, unlike some years ago.

In looking through this and some of the linked threads it appears apparent that Lukiegames has some serious problems with how they process receiving new inventory. A few other people I've dealt with in the past appear to have had similar problems with them.

I've canceled sales to them a couple times (years ago) after hearing horror stories. They weren't too happy about it but they can piss off.

Never we heard of this game store?

Website game store?

Granted I can't help but wonder.

To those affected. Why not just do the same to them?  Order something. Then send a message that the package had a hole and you won't your money back.

Rather large, "meh" quality ebay seller in my experience.
nothing special, but given the number of similar complaints, f*ck em.

to those affected - I'd personally just rather not deal with them rather than stoop to their level.
taking the high road/avoiding potential headaches.

I never personally had a problem with selling to lukiegames, but I have noticed they won a few auctions under different accounts. Very shady shit there. Surprised this has been going on for so long without ebay taking action.

Their business though is the main reason I quit selling lots on ebay. Rather sell directly to the people and beat lukie's price than chance sell to them again.

Agreed, I'd much rather sell here or on NG.com.
then other forums.
then FB.
then trade in at a local shop.
THEN ebay.

I once took a chance on one of the big eBay sellers who list loose games with stock photos of CIB copies. It was probably lukie. They had a hard to find game on their own website for a fraction of what it was selling and being listed for on eBay, but were still using a single stock photo and minimal details.

I did everything I could to prepare for them trying to pull a scam and contacted them to get specifics and got them to confirm that each piece that it should come with when "complete" was in fact included.

They wouldn't even confirm condition beyond saying that it shouldn't have any real defects and that I'd get one random copy from a stack they had.

I was shocked when it arrived in time, was fully complete and more or less in perfect condition.

It's been at least 5+ years but I know I've bought from LukieGames in the past and I don't recall any specific issues in dealing with them. But clearly their business practices have changed considerably over the years. Just the idea of buying stuff off ebay to resell on ebay to me feels shady.

I read that thread pretty thoroughly, and I still say that's a BS response.
Quantity doesn't matter, mistakes like this cost business every time they happen, wouldn't you want to minimize them?
And if the argument is "they're small, cut them some slack" I call bullshit.
I hold up my end of the bargain, you do the same.
If you're dealing with other people's money, it is your job to make sure things happen as they should

See my feelings is on this and why I posted on different forums and I already wrote this on another site is pretty much the same thing I'm writing now.

I don't care how you feel about me or what you think or say about me or how I can f*ck off or suck a dick or be a flipper or collectard or reseller or a$$hole or whatever. Bottom line I do not like people getting ripped off or having people steal from other people.

This company makes tons of money buying and selling. They go ahead and grab all the good lots on eBay so they are stealing from an auctioneer who will collect or enjoy or play the games. So they already are stealing from them.

Second they will go thru and leave positive feedback or lukie games will ask for you to go and do positive feedback. Then they will say they never got the package or there is a big hole in the package and ask for the product or ask for a refund. If you say no, they won't go to eBay and file a claim they go to PayPal and put a hold and file a claim.

If you don't have proof they win and keep your games. To me that is stealing from you, and the person who thought they were getting a good deal on games, and stealing from PayPal. That's not right no matter who it is.

Lots of people who enjoy classic gaming never got a chance to enjoy one of these because of people buying them up at retail strictly to flip:

Sure, buddy.  I'm sure you're huge, married to a super model, and living in a mansion.

Get on topic or lock the thread.

Lots of people who enjoy classic gaming never got a chance to enjoy one of these because of people buying them up at retail strictly to flip:

Even better is when he "Cancelled after I payed and relisted because they want more money."

A similar case happened to a user DreamTR awhile ago, and Luckie replied to his thread

Yeah, that sounds like horseshit.  Mistakes happen and things get lost, sure, but it takes malice and forethought to claim that a package arrived damaged but they couldn't be bothered to report it to the carrier and refuse delivery.

Well there you are again trolling as usual hating life and want to feel better by writing hate on other people so you can go thru your day.
For the record that was the another nes classic I acquired two on launch day and the third was my buddy's to sell for him. Don't hate me because I can get good deals. Like that lot I message you about the 17 tg16 and and the turbobooster and such? So I paid 125.00 for that lot and about 160.00 for my personal lot. So that's 285.00 and I got almost 900.00 for everything.
Ill take that hell yeah. And don't tell me if you found ten nes mini's you would just give it to people for 60.00. You would flip it yourself and if you don't then your a stupid f*ck period. Go do what you do best and eat a corn on the cob the long way.
By the way there go lock this thread ask if I give a f*ck I made my point. I fought against a company that would take the money and product and I won bottom line. I made my point that's all that matters and people are aware of lukie games and their shitty practice of buisness. No wonder why they got thrown out of amazon.
Take that in your pipe and smoke it dickwad

Saying I don't believe you (or care even if it's true) isn't trolling.  Your day to day personal life isn't the thread topic, period.

For the record that was the another nes classic I acquired two on launch day and the third was my buddy's to sell for him. Don't hate me because I can get good deals.

It's not that you flipped it at all, it's that you flipped it for $150 then refunded and relisted it for even higher.  Only scumbag sellers pull that kind of shit.

Like that lot I message you about the 17 tg16 and and the turbobooster and such? So I paid 125.00 for that lot and about 160.00 for my personal lot. If having a real job, caring about the community, and not being a greedy twat makes me stupid, then I guess I'm stupid.

Go do what you do best and eat a corn on the cob the long way.

Making a "Look guys, I stuck it to the man!  f*ck those resellers amirite!?" post won't get you stupid likes if you're an a$$hole reseller yourself.  If you get the job you interviewed for, are you still going to go out of your way to make this hobby worse for everyone to pad your wallet?

As this thread grew I realized the OPs history. Mostly as a flipper.

And his defense was typical of most flippers.

You'd do the same if you could to make money.

Well. No

It comes does to two things. Integrated and morality.

If you lack in either then you must find ways to justify your actions.

He few times I bother selling I tend to look for what I paid plus shipping to break even.

Or trade that both parties agree to in value.

Granted the pit fall for me is I hardly look up going rates so it makes selling a both unless I were to just base it on what I invested. And these days I am able to keep track of it on my phone and apps.

Based on his history, the answer is a resounding yes.

Also if you wouldn't do the same thing you are a liar or stupid!!!11one
