I went to try my RGB-modded SuperGrafx today and found that the PAD-113 ac adaptor I have won't fit (too narrow). It looks like this SuperGrafx takes a power supply with the same sized connector as the white PC Engine.
Is the SuperGrafx or the power supply abnormal?
Anyone know of a source for an official SGX psu or a good substitute?

I thought the super grafx used a power cable with a DUO sized tip on it(6.3MM). However, it needs to be opposite polarity of a Duo I believe(negative center). So you should just be able to take a typical pc engine or pc engine dock AC adapter and just put one of these adapter tips on it to make it the correct size. https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Pcs-6-3mm-x-3-0mm-Male-to-5-5mm-x-2-5mm-Female-DC-Power-Adapter-Coupler/322046968857?hash=item4afb7ec419:g:iP0AAOSw8axaR3VC

the pad-113 is correct

which is too narrow? the power supply plug or the input jack on the system?
if that is the one you got from me a while ago, neither the power supply nor the power input jack were modified from original.

Yeah, it's the SuperGrafx I got from you. I think that I sold my old SuperGrafx with the replacement power supply yours came with, because I already had a PAD-113 and thought I was set. I must have only ever played it with that replacement supply before playing it hooked to a Super CD-ROM.
The tip of the PAD-113 I have does not fit the SuperGrafx. I just ordered a substitute from retro game supply for now, which everyone seems to trust.
My Super SD System 3 has compromised picture quality when using a cheap replacement power supply, so I really want to try official ones.
Thanks for your help guys. :)

The cheap replacement power supply I had for my Supergrafx created a lot of video noise. I can't recommend them. It took me awhile to track down an official one but it eliminated the video problem. Didn't know about the other ones or I could've saved myself a few bucks. :)

Odd that you pad-113 doesn't fit. I couldn't remember what power supply I sent with it but I know I didn't modify the power input. If that one fit your old system then it should fit the one it sold you too. So I'm not too sure what's going on without seeing pictures. Hopefully the one you ordered works

I see Retrogamecave offers PSU for the Supergrafx:

I've never bought anything from these guys, so can't vouch for the quality.

I have a retro trio and an X'eye supply from them. I can say they're high quality supplies but their stock runs out rather frequently.

I would like a retro trio but I’m sure there’s something I’d like more for $67.
