Strange. I have a similiar question.

When I bought The Legend of Xanadu the first time, it came with a bonus disc with an Ys IV demo and other things, but the second time I bought it (don't ask me why) it didn't. Perhaps the seller had lost the disc, or doesn't it normally come with LoX?

LOX came with an Ys 4 demo?  I wonder if that's the same demo that I have a rip of.....didn't I send you that demo, or am I thinking of somebody else?

I bought my Legend of Xanadu new back when it first came out and didn't receive any additional CD.
I have the JP Dragon Slayer and no additional CD came with it either - although mine is used.

it is the hyper catalog capsule which you can find in the following link: http://www.pcecp.com/index.php?mode=catalog&action=images

i already own this catalog but purchased it years ago on ebay separately.

Since most demos don't come with cases, some people just stick them in the extra slot of another games' double disc case. Whenever you recieve a game with an extra disc, the seller probably either didn't notice, thought it was part of the cases' game or just didn't care.

I once got the Hyper Catalog 4 the same way with a double disc case game that I bought online.

I also once bought two Emerald Dragon cases off the street(literally). One had both ED books and the other had a manual from another RPG. The games inside were Ys III, Tengai Makyo II, Dragon Slayer II and a Chinese War Sim.

This was during the early days of the real internet (pre-eBay?) and I believe that that was how I got my first TM II. Back then, you couldn't easily find games like those (or much PCE stuff in general) for sale online.

Or a Gold Youkai Dochuki sold as a regular version by someone unfamiliar with the distinction, who just decided to sell some old video games they found in storage?  :P

Ahh so I'm not the only one who literally deals games on the streets! To be more specific, I deal them in the Cyberpunk Alley.

Are you the one responsible for that graffiti?

I don't see why Xanadu would normally come with an Ys 4 demo, since they're published by different companies.  It was probably just a seller tossing in a related demo disc.

It would make some sense, considering Falcom made money from each sold LoX and Ys4 game.

Sega should've packed in a Monster Lair CD demo with some of their Mega-CD titles then.  :P
